Honestly, I am going to take a break from this account and from watching wrestling as a whole. Don't know when or even if I'll come back. I just really need a break from all of this. Thank you all for all the fun times while I was here, though. ✌🏻

i'm personally not going to spend much more time thinking about this than i have in the past 2 weeks but i just read the interview that hangman did after his photo with m*rty sc*rll, video version here, and can i just reiterate how fucking sick to death i am of reading stories about men raping children and facing no permanent consequences?

"I guess who I am is, when people treat me with kindness, I try to return it" - even when that person raped a teenager? interesting

"I just would never want that to be misconstrued as like an endorsement or an effort to rehabilitate someone's public image, something like that" - but it is. you smiled in a selfie with him, putting on record your happiness while posing with him after meeting. maintaining a relationship with a person who admitted to statutory rape is endorsement of their behaviour.

"Relationships are complicated, but they're still relationships, and he's still a human being" - donald trump is a human being. vladimir putin is a human being. they do not, by virtue of sharing my species, deserve my respect. nobody in the world does by that metric.

he goes on to denounce sc*rll's actions but you see, that all rings very hollow considering he confesses to keeping in touch with him since 2020. he even drops in a few details such as "he has been unable to take part in mainstream wrestling" as though that will provoke sympathy. he lost his job because he raped a teenager. not because he missed a show.

I have tried to stay quiet on this whole thing because I have genuinely loved hangman's character work and performances as a professional wrestler. I think he has created amazing art. he was my favourite performer. seeing this story emerge actually hurt. but honestly this stupid carny shit where you downplay your homeboy's rape allegations feeds directly into the culture that elevates demons like jeffrey epstein. it's not enough to keep those relationships 'private' or to treat rapists with 'dignity'. what about that little girl? how do you look at your friend and not see him taking advantage of her?

tapping out officially. i wish men were better people, i'm sorry to generalise but I am so, so fed up with being let down. it's so easy to treat women and children like they're human beings. it's harder to hold your friends accountable, but why would you want them around you or, god forbid, your children, anyway? knowing what you know?

hope it was worth it, hangman, i hope you and that washed up rapist have a lovely friendship together where you chat endlessly about shit you got away with. jesus christ

All of this is from this recent interview that "Hangman" Adam Page did, addressing the photo he took with a man who sexually abused a drunk 16 year old girl, Marty Scurll. This is Adam Page's response to people being rightfully upset that he took a gleeful photo with a known sexual abuser and admits that he still keeps in touch with the man who groomed and abused a 16 year old girl.

This may seem like a cop out answer but in 2026 I don’t think there’s any morally good entertainment (outside of stuff like Sesame Street and stuff like that). If you like pro wrestling and it brings you joy, keep watching. If it makes you feel icky, then stop watching. You just have to decide what is too far for you and adjust to your taste. For instance, I stopped watching WWE after Lesnar came back because it legit made my stomach turn. I don’t think anyone who watches WWE is a bad person. I just don’t watch it at the moment. I don’t think it makes you a bad person to watch pro wrestling but you don’t have to justify your reasoning for watching pro wrestling so if any one has a problem with it, fuck them. It ultimate comes down to you.

I also slowly stopped watching WWE because of that reason and much more. It just made me angry because of everything. So I started watching AEW frequently and ended up absolutely loving it, but now I see that it's somewhat of the other side of the same coin, which is truly sad.
