I normally don’t like to add to posts, but this is just one of my favorite things about her. I guess Carrie Fisher just carried glitter everywhere, because she did the same thing at Indiana Comic Con when she was there in 2015. She actually kinda got in trouble because she was taking so long with each person who came for autographs because she wanted to “baptize them” with her glitter. She wanted to make sure that everyone who saw her got some glitter.

tldr; she was truly a gift and i sobbed at work when i got a notification that she passed, and i’m crying now as i type this.

She talked about how her therapist (I think it was in her book Shockaholic but I can’t check right now) always knew when she was having an ‘off’ time in her head depending on how much glitter she’d show up wearing to appointments. It was her way of making the world sparkle and shine even when it felt dark. It made her feel better. Evidently she wanted to share that with others.

I purposely went out and bought glittery body dust in her honor. I’m going to welcome in 2017 lit up like a firework. Ain’t none of y'all going to ever be able to hug me ever again without getting covered in glitter. It’s on. We’re doing this. And on May 4th we’re going to make the world shine.

The amount of support that this post has gotten is, quite honestly, incredible. if you haven’t watched this film with the commentary then you are missing out, it’s hilarious. “Lemony Snicket” was completely unhappy with the film and wanted no real part of it and so in the commentary he just fucks about. Seriously, at one point he gets out an accordion and drowns out the director with his playing

Friend of a friend on facebook posted a picture with a caption “Someone in my smithing group got a free crate of high quality steel today in the form of “used casting molds”… I am at a loss for words.”

Fumi and Kazu – partners in love and law – run Japan’s first LGBT law firm. The film follows their story, as well as the stories of their clients. 

Japan is a highly conformist country proud of its social cohesion and unity. Yet conformity comes at a cost – to be different is to be invisible, and this is the subject of the film. “Of Love & Law” tells the hidden stories of people who are silenced and made invisible by Japanese society and its laws. What are the risks of being yourself and being an outsider in your own country? Should love be ruled by laws that don’t represent you?

This film on kickstarter right now and they’ve only gotten £12,405 out of their £30,000 goal. Please, if you have money to spare, consider donating! Even if you don’t, help spread this around so that this film can be made!

- It was a pack of 15 people driving cars/trucks decked out in confederate flags, banners, and US flags. All 15 are being brought to justice, and this is just the latest news on the whole debaucle. - They did this in a predominately black neighborhood. - The caravan passed a public park, and these two schmucks decided to take a detour over to a group of people having an outing there. - These people were a black family having a birthday party for their kids - The witness concensus of what they did when harassing the party was “yelling racial slurs and displaying a crowbar, a knife and either a rifle or a shotgun". - Threatening the lives of children likely earned some brownie points with the judge and lengthened their sentences. - Georgia has some strict laws regarding gang activity, which applied to a large group of armed individuals actively setting out to harass a community with very openly racist motivation. - On top of the sentence, these two are also banished from the county this incident occurred in. This means they’ll also have to sell or give up property they own. - I’m seeing a lot of people try to argue this is unjust because they have the right to ‘freedom of speech’, but I hope that’s just because these people defending it haven’t read any of the details, just these shitty “confederate flag incident” titles that don’t exactly explain someone leaned out of a truck with a large weapon and shouted terrifying things at children. This is not freedom of speech, it is domestic terrorism, and was labeled as such by the police.
