I bought this game on day one because I loved Secret of Mana and the artwork for this game blew me away. To this day it’s still one of the most beautiful games to look at. I also bought the soundtrack, and it’s one of the best I’ve ever heard. Unfortunately, that’s where the awesomeness stops. The gameplay is pretty average, nothing special and no risks taken. The story is a completely nonsensical disjointed mess and it’s hard to follow or even care about any of the characters. It’s an interesting game, but it won’t win any game of the year awards.
