Rapidash Variations
Chrome - A white marked Rapidash. Chrome Rapidashes typically have white restricted to their legs and faces, commonly including half to the whole horn. The flames of chrome Rapidashes tend to be lighter where there are white markings.
Burnt - Burnt Rapidashes are also referred to as “Pointed” and their dark markings depend on where there is heat. Dark areas vary in location from elbows to pasterns as they age. Areas with constant flame tend to stay the darkest throughout the rapidash’s life.
Ashen - Like the burnt variation, ashen rapidashes tend to have black or red around the constantly heated areas of their bodies. Unlike burnts, their markings are permanent. They’re most common in the Hoenn region, and popular for their striking coats.
“King’s Chrome” (Glow) - These beauties are a result of shiny crossbreeding. The King’s Chrome rapidash comes from a shiny chrome rapidash, and a shiny zebstrika of any variation. Because they are so rare and beautiful, they were reserved for royalty and nobility in the early days of their discovery. Though some still refer to them as “King’s Chrome”, they’re widely known among breeders as “glow”
Some Skitty varieties! The hoenn forest skitty is actually the original version of this cat pokemon. After being domesticated they were bred into many different breeds, like the munchkin, siamese or skittish fold. Each of them can come in all kinds of fur patterns like striped (munchkin) or calico (forest skitty) but most common are the simple fur patterns (like the skittish fold). The pretty fur pattern breeds are a perfect choice for pokemon contests, while the wilder type is great for battles. But of course they’re all just great as pets too!
i feel like tropius would probably resemble the tree that grows their fruit, so these variations were born- for saracastically
Lets keep the wheels of this pokévariation bandwagon spinning! Here are some doodles of Aerodactyl variants, inspired by various pterosaur species
some quogs
Beach - the most common subspecies, this quagsire is plump and inquisitive. They are found in sandy beaches across the world and colonies are larger in tourist areas. Beach quagsires are friendly by nature and generally not considered a threat to beachgoers (although their clumsiness and weight can unwittingly injure small children).
River - river quagsires, unlike their social beach brethren, are shy and elusive, and will slip away at the first sign of danger. They hide in muddy areas and in bullrushes, and are also known to inhabit marshy land. The speckled variation of their markings is useful for camouflage. They live in small family colonies of 5 or 6.
Arctic - the arctic breed is the largest of the quagsire subspecies, and possesses a thick layer of blubber under its lightly-furred skin. Its markings form a mask around its eyes, providing some protection from the harsh snow glare. The artic quagsire’s eyesight is very weak in general compared to the other variants, but this is made up for with sensitive whiskers.Their tails are short and fat, their body adapted to conserve heat.
Tropical - these quagsires are found in the warmer oceans between the tropics and the equator and spend a larger amount of time compared to the other breeds in the water. Tropical quagsire rarely spend time on the shore, but will occasionally come up to offshore rocks to sunbathe. Their large frills soak up sunlight and their striking colour scheme mimics poisonous species, and the transparency of their frills serves to break up their shadow as they swim through kelp beds.

since everyone’s doing it, here’s some variations on Purugly. I’ve never loved this dumb cat more than I do now. Purugly needs all the love.

Latios here!
Since at least one or two people asked for it and I decided after all that I wanted to complete the duo, here’s some Latias variations!
Standard Latias are just regular Latias. They are the most common variety, being able to live in many different environments.
Alpine Latias are northern Latias which have traded their ability to swim for feathers that are not waterproof, but are warmer and enable them to survive in colder climates.
Cardinal Latias are nomadic Latias with cardinal-like colors and markings. They use their flashy coats to attract Jay Latios mates, but they are picky, and only the flashiest, prettiest mate will do.
Fire Opal Latias are a variety that was bred as a status symbol for royalty long ago. They’re known for their beautiful, opalescent feathers.
Illuminated Latias get their name from their intricate, swirled markings, which have been compared to illuminated manuscripts. No two have the same pattern!
Albino Latias have light, cream-colored feathers as a result of albinism. While they vaguely resemble shiny Latias, they can be differentiated by their eyes being light-lavender as opposed to green.
Longhair Latias are a result of selectively breeding Alpines for qualities such as their soft feathers. These Latias are sweet and motherly, and are an ideal companion for kids. Though because of their feathers, fast flight is difficult.
Sea Latias are Latias which have adapted to live solely at sea. As such, they have developed traits such as sleeker bodies, more sharkskin-like feathers, and more fin-like feet, ears and wings.
I got this one done exponentially faster than the other one which surprised me. Well, enjoy the duo of Lati breeds and variations.

I decided to revamp the designs for my vulpix variations I made a year and a half ago. I’ve mainly fleshed them out to be used in a story among some of my ask blogs. More or less, Reds are based off of Kyubey and Arctics based off of Inari’s foxes. For the colors I’ve drawn inspiration from the RBY sprite colors for the Red variant and I started to draw inspiration from the gods in Okami for the Arctic variant. I was given suggestions that the colors clashed a bit too much so I’ve dulled the reds so they weren’t so intense.

My contribution to the pokemon variation challenge going around! I decided to do lapras with different rock formations (ᴖ◡ᴖ)
Some people were interested in the Ninetales version so here it is! :) It’s just the same color scheme as the Vulpix one, so don’t expect big changes.
