The patches and pins on Charles Rowland’s coat!

I didn’t do a whole breakdown of his outfit, but know that he wears red because Charles' hero color is very much red, in honor of his comic book counterpart's red sweater.

Also his whole outfit is inspired by mod and ska subcultures. From the chain, to his earring, to his shoes. Everything is reminiscent of the 80s.

And he maintains the red throughout all the season, to a burgundy polo in ep.3 to suddenly a black one to reflect his turbulent emotional state. Finally coming back to red eventually.

yeah I'm sorry I do think trinity unintentionally hurts baran a lot in the beginning.

baran extends vulnerability in hopes that it'll be matched, but trinity's not equipped for that. she closes herself off, snaps like a cornered dog. and baran is soft. she's sensitive. she likes to pretend nothing gets to her, but it does, and it hurts. it hurts when she knows trinity is hurting, but all her girl does is shove her away. making her feel unneeded, unwanted. realistically, baran knows trinity wants her, but trinity doesn't make it easy to feel.

baran likes words. likes verbal affirmations that she's loved. trinity can hardly choke them out on her better days, preferring actions instead. and it's hard, at first, when baran is murmuring I love you into trinity's mouth, and trinity kisses her again to avoid saying it back. it's hard for trinity, when she conjures up a bouquet of flowers that she knows are baran's favorite, and baran smiles so big but trinity can tell she's a little disappointed that there's no note nestled in-between the petals.

gradually, though, they learn each other's languages. baran starts quietly taking care of trinity in other ways, having her favorite energy drink in hand when she comes to work, pointedly not scolding her for drinking them (yet.) her girl feeling safe and accepted where she's at is what's important, they'll work out health later. and in that safety, that trinity doesn't have to be perfect to be loved, her guard lowers.

and it's so fucking wonderful. trinity gets these moments where she's all clingy and needy, now, seeking her out, collapsing into her. baran feels needed, wanted, finally. best of all is when trinity kisses at her jaw, her neck, whispering I love you I love you I love you between each gentle peck. maybe it hurt, to get here, for a while. but it is so, so worth it. baran kisses her head, hums I love you too. so much, trinity. so much.

When someone brings up the heated rivalry club scene but all I can think about is Charles and Edwin in that same scenario

Crystal, Edwin and Charles investigating a case back in London. Charles and Edwin are in disguise, only theyre young people now because the only lead they could was at the club.

The club is full of neon lights flashing and Edwin is instanly captivated even though he was opposed to going at first and Charles is thrilled because Edwin doesn't look miserable and he always wanted to go to the club but he never had the chance to when he was alive and now he's there with his two most favourite people (investigating a case but still) he's having the time of his life.

Crystal excuses herself to the bathroom and when she's on her way back, she spots the person they were looking for. She motions Edwin and Charles to come and Charles nods and asks Edwin to stay where he is, closer to the exist so if that person tries to escape, they can't (and also, because if it comes to it, Edwin shan't be harmed)

While Charles and Crystal speak to their guy, Edwin is approached by a beautiful stranger and is asked for a dance. At first Edwin hesitates but gives in when he looks over at Charles and Crystal and see that they have it handled. After all, he's sworn to try new things this year, and dancing with a man who is, quite frankly, pleasing to the eyes, is far from the worst thing.

Charles, still conversing with their guy, instinctively looks in the direction Edwin was supposed to be and frowns when he doesn't immediately see him. He turns his head to the right and oh there he is.....dancing with a stranger.

Charles is no longer listening to anything, unable to look away, he's rooted on the spot, mesmerised by how fluidly Edwin's moving. He is not alive but he could swear his heart just started beating faster. The logical part of his brain supplies its probably because Edwin is wearing the disguise of a beautiful woman that anyone would be captivated by.

But then the man puts his hand around Edwin's waist, and Charles wants take the sword out of his bag and cut his arm clean off. How dare he touch him like that?

He accidentally locks eyes with Edwin, and everyone else dissappears, its like the air has been sucked from around him, the big walls suddenly feel like they're closing in on him.

....why does Edwin never dance with Charles?
