Her ancient gestures, her perfume, the infinite intimacy of her rage,
Christina Peri-Rossi, tr. by Carol Thickstunt, from “The Bacchante,” (via violentwavesofemotion)
ROMEO AND JULIET (1996) - I adore the religious imagery in this film, it’s so so pretty. I also love how overly dramatic the characters are, Mercutio is an icon - the absolute best version of himself he could be. Juliet visiting the Friar after Romeo’s banishment is such a brilliant scene...

WUTHERING HEIGHTS - The whole film was so beautiful, so bleak and cool.
I adore that tragic Victorian heartache that takes over their entire lives, the type where they spend years in the city pining for their childhood love only to find their efforts were for nothing.
Song birds, lovely frocks, sash windows, stone walls and (kind of) unconditional love - this film has it all.

LUCY BOYNTON - her characters always have such a melancholic air about them. She’s my favourite actress so I’ll add my multitude of favourite scenes here.
