Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 139 Part 1... You have been warned...! 👌
[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]
HOLY COW!! THIS CHAPTER HAD ME FEELING VERY TENSE THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH...!!
But before I share my thoughts on Mission 139 Part 1, I wanna let anyone that hasn't seen my last post to know that I've had it rough these past couple of weeks... But currently, I'm doing little better now...! 💗 So, instead of doing this review in my usual way, I'm gonna list my favorite parts as well as the parts that intrigued me the most...!:
The first thing that I really liked was the opening page:
This part made laugh...!! 🤭 Poor Twilight, he just wants to do spy stuff...! 😌
The next scene that caught my attention, was this one:
When I read the name Prime Minister Chapman, it sounded very familiar, but I wasn't sure. Then, a few pages later, one of the nurses that Fiona was talking to mentioned that "he was the one who started the war", and it finally clicked...! All the way back in Mission 91, that's when we learn from McMahon (when he was talking to Millie) that Chapman was the Prime Minister when the war started, not Desmond...! So that got me curious as to why Desmond is visiting Chapman... 🤔
Well, I didn't have to long because we kinda get an answer:
What does Desmond mean by this...? Was Desmond the one that actually started the war and Chapman took the blame for it? Or is there something else going on here...? 🤔 Maybe Chapman was the one who signed off on the human experiments, which gave Donovan the go ahead to do as he pleased, including becoming on of the first test subjects...!! 😲 I'm not sure, but hopefully we'll find out soon.
The next couple scenes I wanna highlight is Anya trying to get pass the guard:
This whole part was HILARIOUS!! 😆 I loved how Anya disguised herself (just like her papa would've 😊) and tried to walk pass the guard, but of course that wasn't gonna work...! 😅 Then she tried to chase after a marble to get by, but the guard kept blocking it and giving it back to her...!! Anya is just so silly...! 🤭
Another scene that intrigued me would have to be this one:
This scene to me feels like more evidence towards Desmond being a telepath or having a completely different ability from Anya... Right now I'm leaning towards Donovan being a telepath, but he could very well have something else entirely. Again, we'll have to wait and see what's going on with Donovan.
And finally, the biggest thing to come from this chapter...:
ANYA FOCUSING ALL OF HER POWER TO READ DONOVAN'S MIND!! 😱 MY POOR BABY'S NOSE IS BLEEDING AS WELL...!! 😫 I am so scared for Anya right now... 😨
And that was Mission 139 Part 1, a very intriguing (but also quite worrisome) chapter!! I am both excited and terrified for what Endo has in store for us when the next chapter drops, so I can't wait...!! 👍
