Shiro snorts, a surprisingly human sound, and gives Isiel a side-long glance. “At least you’re not calling me Banana Boy.” He shifts position to get a better look. “I’m living in interesting times,” he replies in his usual dry tone. “What about you? What brings you around to grace my supplies with your presence?”

Though his normal cadence can be described as detached, there is clearly a warmth in his speaking to Isiel.
