“I can’t believe that.” He didn’t even pause to let her speak as his own voice shook with a fake smile of his own. “How can you wear that smile when you’re hurting?” A pot calling the kettle black.

Why? Why can’t you tell me the truth? He felt his own mask cracking. For Kami’s sake...! He could hardly find the words for how much pain he could sense behind her smile. Be happy.
