So I thought I’d make a little post about things that I’ll incorporate into my Mercy from my experience as both a researcher, and as someone who is going into medicine. I’ve found that fanon has A LOT of misconceptions, and are kind of wrong about a lot of things regarding Mercy being both an MD and a researcher. This is just the first of what is likely going to be a series of posts, because this turned out a lot longer than I intended it to be, soo stayed tuned for future installments in the salt series. Now before I continue let me say, this is not aimed at any roleplayer or person in particular, because most of what I’m talking about is gonna be shit I’ve seen in the tag and not on dash, and if it something you’ve said, it’s not intentional because I don’t really pay attention to other interpretations of other Mercys, simply because I don’t want to mistakenly steal or anything like that. The Problem

     Genji just arrived back from his first mission. Commander Morrison worked him to the bone making sure nothing went wrong. In the end it went well and he let Genji browse the area before leaving completely. That’s when he saw the mug with ‘World’s #1 Doctor on it’ and immediately bought it.

     Dr. Ziegler worked night and day to make sure he didn’t fully pass over to the next world. He was immensely thankful for that and wish to show it to her. So now he stood outside of her office hand poised in front of the door as if to knock. He has been standing here for a while and people have passed by giving him incredulous looks.

      “Genji, it’s just a mug. It’s not like your declaring your ultimate love for her.” he mumbled giving himself a small pep talk. Taking a deep breath he let his fist meet the door with a knock.

     “Dr. Ziegler are you in?”
