"Remember all the things we wanted? All the memories that haunted?"
i dint come here to hurt you now
I have learnt to say no, without feeling guilty.
Not ‘no’ per se, but knowing how to remove myself from situations I am not genuinely interested in. You can’t always try to please people, I matter too!
i think one of the biggest problems i have with getting stuff done is i assume it’s easy for other people. like “she gets up at six every morning because she’s a morning person” or “yeah, he can run five miles every day but he likes running” or “she knows five languages, her brains just wired differently than mine” when in reality it’s all about discipline for everyone. like yeah, some people have natural aptitudes for some things but anyone that’s accomplishing anything is putting in the work. achievements don’t come easy, and i think if i start acknowledging that it’s like that for everyone i can stop making excuses
Hello followers
"Never underestimate the power of writing your feelings down. It can dispel emotional tension. It also shows how powerful words can be. So instead of insulting yourself, tell (or even write) yourself things like 'I am deeply loved.' or 'I love how I look today.' Make this a habit and see how brighter your days will be."
"To heal, you must first decide which path to take: destruction or repair."
Hey I’m here to remind you to try to have a good day or night.
To try to live your life to the fullest.
That you can love whoever you want.
Why
Because it’s your life and you are allowed to feel and love and do whatever you want with it as long as you are happy about it.

“The Ego, however, is not who you really are. The ego is your self-image; it is your social mask; it is the role you are playing. Your social mask thrives on approval. It wants control, and it is sustained by power, because it lives in fear.”
— Deepak Chopra
Fixed it. Unless you have a chronic illness or some crazy stuff going on (such as several children to entertain and care for) in addition to the quarantine, then you really are wasting an opportunity. Discipline is a form of self-care. It means knowing what you need and delivering it to yourself without allowing self-sabotaging excuses to interfere. If we as a species utilize this time to develop ourselves, to do the projects and things we’ve been putting off, to enrich ourselves in the manner so popular during the Renaissance, then when we emerge from this period of sheltering in place, we might return to a culture that has leveled up in so many ways. If this time were a tarot card, it would be The Hanged Man. We are being held in place in order to come to a crucial realization, or several. Hang in there (pun intended) but don’t lose out to excuses.
I am genuinely surprised how controversial this post turned out so let’s get a few things straight.
Shelter however you want. I am not here to judge you. If pointing out an opportunity that is being missed triggers you as “judgment,” then maybe you should contemplate why that is. Because in no way have I said anything negative about those people who do not use this time to enrich or evolve themselves in some way.
I know people are scared and struggling with depression. Do you honestly think doing nothing is helping that? Write some poetry, practice meditation, do some physical exercise or yoga, read that book or comic you’ve been meaning to. Is that easy to do while feeling depressed or scared? No. Does that mean it’s not worth trying? That’s up to you. Nothing I am suggesting here is crazy or controversial.
There is nothing privileged about stating that we can use this new abundance of free time to better ourselves. If you believe that then you are actually detracting from real instances of privilege. If you don’t actually have free time, such as caring for a family or dealing with some other heavy stuff as mentioned in the above post, then obviously none of this applies to you. Do your thing and hang in there.
This has nothing to do with productivity and capitalism. This is about engaging mind, body, and spirit instead of rotting away binging Netflix and calling it self-care.
Stop reacting and take a moment to actually read what I wrote. Take a few breaths. We’re all on the same side.

““Love is not selective, just as the light of the sun is not selective. It does not make one person special. It is not exclusive. Exclusivity is not the love of God but the “love” of ego. However, the intensity with which true love is felt can vary. There may be one person who reflects your love back to you more clearly and more intensely than others, and if that person feels the same toward you, it can be said that you are in a love relationship with him or her. The bond that connects you with that person is the same bond that connects you with the person sitting next to you on a bus, or with a bird, a tree, a flower. Only the degree of intensity with which it is felt differs.””

“As you get older, you really start to understand more about why people drink the night away, smoke their lungs black, or throw themselves off buildings.”

my head is really in a total mess. I wish i dont feel this.
sometimes, life just get really hard. And you just wish you are dead so you wont have to go through the pain and mess. You just want to be okay.
“Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That’s its balance.”

I. LOVE. THIS.
“It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them. I was so preposterously serious in those days…Lightly, lightly – it’s the best advice ever given me…to throw away your baggage and go forward. There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet, trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair. That’s why you must walk so lightly. Lightly my darling…”
— Aldous Huxley
