do you allow people to get these tattoos or are your designs on commission?
Any tattoos I post on this blog are free for people to use however they wish. However, I do ask that if you do post my designs somewhere else, you at least add a link to my blog and credit me. I would be open to doing private commissions for tattoo designs, if anyone is interested in that.
I discovered your blog a out two minutes ago and the talent you have is fantastic, I wish I'd known your blog for ages beforehand! Do you have a shop at all? The sea artwork is wonderful, it resonates with me a lot. Do you have any plans to create prints/stickers/shirts at all? Thank you for sharing your artwork with the world!
I don’t have a shop at this time, though it’s something I’ve been considering. I don’t feel like I’m financially stable enough right now to start one. If it flops and I don’t sell anything, that could really hurt me money wise. I’m hoping that will change later this year though.

i was wondering, if i got the horrid little beast as a tattoo, would i be able to add slit pupils to the eyes? your art is so beautiful and i don’t want to mess with your design if it isn’t ok with you!
The designs I post on this blog are free for anyone to use. That said, I certainly appreciate it when people ask me first to use my designs and/or change them. It feels like you value my hard work more when you ask, I suppose.
So yes, you can certainly add slit pupils. Now, I would recommend you talk to your tattoo artist about that particular design. If they’re a good artist they’ll help you figure out how to make the design work for you and last. Tattoos have a tendency to move as they age, and small details and writing will blur or disappear into larger designs. I do NOT recommend getting the white lettering on black version. If you do it’ll turn into a weird blob after a year or two. That version was just a fun variant I made for shits and giggles. Same concept applies to the eyes and adding pupils. To keep the pupils from disappearing, you’ll need to make the eyes white and pupils black.
Sorry if I just told you anything you already know. I just hate the thought of someone getting a bad tattoo because they followed my design to the letter and didn’t take into consideration sizing/details/fading/etc.
I have never wanted a tattoo or even understood the urge to want something on your skin permanently until I saw the “I want to sit by the sea” post and now I like...,,,,, get it
