The Rogan painting craft has more than 400 years of its history, originated from Persia and Pakistan and descended into Nirona village in Kutch, Gujarat,India. I created black and white illustration of Rogan art with Faber castell M PITT artist pen black and little inside details with micro-line 005 0.20mm fade proof black pigment ink and tracing paper. Originally hand pounded caster oil is turned into paste by boiling it, later colour powder dilluted in water is mixed with the caster oil pastes of yellow, red, blue, green, black and orange are kept in earthern pots with water with a view to avoid drying of the paste. Iron round and pointed at both ends is used to paint half of the design with support of left hand fingers from bottom of the cloth. Impression of the same is transferred on the other half portion of the cloth to complete the design.
