I’m not Alone is a short animation project by Sunshine Animation Studio, based in Madrid and specialized in 2D animation. The project was presented last week at 3D Wire.
Unaki is a 10-year old kid who lives in a devastated world. The machines took the control many years ago, and as far as he knows, he might be the only human left. His sister died a few months ago, and she left him a very special present: Uma, an intelligent android who looks exactly like she did. He will confront his past in order to have a future.
Spanish director Roc Espinet Lizarralde is presenting the animated short Colossal Jane at this year’s 3D Wire (Oct 4 till Oct 7).
Jane is a well-known street fighter in the underworld of the always dangerous and colossal Inferno City, a place where strange creatures and riff-raff crooks live. She seems to be the hardest one there but the truth is that she’s fighting a colossal battle inside herself which is threatening to finish with her mental health. A ghost torments her day and night blaming her of his death. Jane will have to search for the help of the weirdest allies to get rid of her guilt. Music and rhythm will be her partners in this colossal trip to the heart of darkness of Inferno City.

Studio Colorido and director Mateusz Urbanowicz have produced a commercial titled Susume, Karolina (“Advance, Karolina”) that celebrates the career of Karolina Styczyńska, a professional shogi player from Poland and the first non-Japanese player to be awarded professional status by the Japan Shogi Association. The full production will be released online in June of 2018.
