Alimatou used to be deathly afraid of me. She would hide behind her mom whenever I was around or avoid the room I was in. If forced to get close to me, the tears started flowing instantly. But now, I can't get her out of my room or off of my lap, and she always asks to skype with my mama and papa.

This is Khadija, daughter and spitting image of Juma. Juma is the young house maid where I live. She brings Khadija with her to the house everyday, sometimes carrying her on her back while she works, or letting her sit and play nearby. She's great about sitting quietly and entertaining herself.
