I just heard a (American, but I'm sure you could guess from the rest of this) podcast advert that was someone saying "oh I'm so glad this charity helped me to continue working while I had cancer" and saying how much staying in work helped their recovery - I haven't gone through it so I could be totally wrong - but that seems like some god damned propaganda.

You mean you can't even get sick and say "actually it would be really good to rest and focus on healing right now, but I can't afford to quit unless I'm forced to"

I made this Solas figurine inspired by "The Hierophant" tarot card from dragon age inquisition. I never got hold of the figurine and it is really expensive so I made my own version in Nomad sculpt, printed it, painted it.. My mini painting isn't the best but I am very happy with the sculpting since it's my first full human figure, which feels like quite a milestone in learning to 3D model.

The people on Reddit hate it for some reason. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sure this tarot image is a bit overdone but I'm literally just trying to make fan art and share it with people for very little back. Sue me I guess.

I've really enjoyed Ghost of Yotei, but this last bit of map where I just spend my time continually having to go back and talk to my boring brother at the castle is wearing thin.

I sculpted a Bolaire mask, it's up for sale on cults3d

I did a quick paint but I kind of love it without the paint too, it shows off the sculpt. It's so fun to take photos of and get different angles. Taliesen described the mask as looking more clay-like and handmade than the character art suggests, so I think it would be interesting to do some other variation of it, but for this first one I wanted to keep as close to the show art as possible to keep it recognisable.

Added an SSD to my raspberry pi 5 and turned it into a Plex server.

I needed some new Crocs and decided to buy whatever was on sale in sports direct for £20. Occasionally having man-sized feet works out because apparently these in the men's section did not sell 😄

Mounting skates is a bad time. Do not recommend.

Honeycomb headache

I modelled this hotend holder for the honey comb storage wall (ikea skadis-like system) in fusion 360 and I was buzzing about my hard surface modelling progress- it's taken me longer to click with CAD style than sculpting, but it feels like the basics have finally coalesced to make sense in my brain. I whipped it up in under an hour and I was so chuffed. Got it right on Makerworld...

And then the next day I just realised I've mounted THE WHOLE WALL 90 degrees off. The hexagons go flat side up, and every single attachment for it is made that way. FUUUUUUUUUH. So not only have I had to go back and tweak these holders, I've had to pull the storage wall down and re-mount it so I can use other people's stuff. Love it when a fun little project turns into a major headache. At least I'm making progress. And the wall is up now.
