Food can mean a lot emotionally (think Ratatouille). A good stew is like a big warm hug. On the other hand, this stew is more like when the coach puts his hand on your shoulder after you mess up in the final quarter of the championship and says “Hey, champ. I know this game wasn’t your best but I’m sure your next one’s…” and he kinda stops because he remembers that this is your last year because you’ll be graduating in spring so he just trails off but he doesn’t take his hand off your shoulder so you just stand there all sweaty with his clammy palm burning into your shoulder and now losing this game is the second worst thing to happen to you tonight (I’ve never played sports before but I did see like 5 episodes of Haikyuu (not the first ones)).
