Because, at this rate, this headache is gonna kill me faster that any motive for murder, I assure you." [He says this all in a rather cocky tone of voice, but he's still as pale as death and shaking as if he's about to fall apart. What a weirdo.]
"Wow. Rude. Hate is a strong word. You honestly think I’m going to give you an answer after that? My poor bear feelings…"

I just wanted to say that I had a lot of fun with all of you guys. Astral was my first game that I've actually been able to see through to the end. I'm really glad that I decided to apply for Astral, because at first I was really hesitant to. And even after I applied I really worried that I wouldn't be able to get in. But I did anyway, some how. I still don't really know how.
I hope that I can still keep in touch with all of you even though Astral has ended now. I'm really looking forward to B&B where I hope a lot of you are able to get in again.
Akuma's is really bad and it's just a concept rather than a completely written out one, but here you go
Akuma stands in the middle of a mock representation of Hell. There is fire and a lake of lava to boot, with little demon robots dancing around with pitchforks in hand. He is chained by both of his wrists to two more demon robots. The two robots slowly lead him along walking towards the pool of lava. Of course he could try and resist the robots if he wanted, but then he would just be dragged across the ground on the way to the lava pool. Not only would that be painful, but it would also be absolutely embarrassing. He deserved this execution, so he might as well accept it. Just before the demons make their way to the lava pool, a chilling wind surges through the room, completely freezing everything. The lava pool is immediately reduced to nothing but a hardened lake of obsidian, the robots around him have ceased to function because of the temperature drop. Suddenly an Angelic robots flies into the room, a glowing sword in hand. Because he is still chained to the now immobile robots, he is unable to run away. The angel soars towards him and plunges the glowing sword into his chest, killing him.
Some people have told me that I'm good at writing apps, and while I'm not sure I agree with that, I do think I know what goes into making a great app. So here are some tips I have for both creating characters and writing their apps.
Keep in mind that this isn't a "how to get accepted into [insert group here]" guide. You could very well take everything I say here into consideration and still not get into a group. Or you could ignore everything I say here and still get into a group.
Character Creating/Adjusting Tips:
Pick a Realistic Talent - Now, the importance of this will vary from group to group, but it's still something to keep in mind. First of all, you don't want any physically impossible talents, like a Sorcerer who can legitimately perform actual magic, although that should be obvious. But something that might not be as obvious is talent that would be unrealistic for a teenager to have. Like for example, a SHSL Doctor isn't very realistic, considering regardless of how talented the student is, they're not already going to have gone all the way through med school if they're still in high school. In these cases, try going with a similar talent that a high school student could realistically have.
Break the Mold - Something that really makes a character stand out is making them different than one would expect. This one is a little hard to explain, but with more common talents like "Artist" and "Musician", you will see that a lot of them tend to have pretty similar personalities and quirks. If you can try and do something to make your character completely stand out from all others like this, that will definitely give your OC an interesting flare.
Be Creative - i'm going to be using my AC1 character, Akuma, for this example. So my character is a Demonologist and he claims to be able to let demons possess him, each with their own unique personalities and ways of speaking. This was my way of playing off of the trend of characters with DID, which have become increasingly common in the DR OC community, and turning it into something a little more fresh and unique. If you can find something like this, whether it's completely unique or playing off of a more common trend, it can really make an OC stand out.
Make Sure Everything Matters - Please just never tack on something like a disorder, disability, or tragic event for the sake of being 'edgy'. Make sure that there are proper repercussions for the things they have done in the past and any condition they may have. Do your research, and don't just go off of what you see on TV as a reliable resource on how to handle certain events or conditions. For example, one that really gets to me is when people tack on "Bipolar Disorder" to explain a character who moodswings all over the place. As someone with bipolar I can tell you that isn't what bipolar is, and it can have an affect on way more than just your mood. Just do your research, otherwise you're liable to offend people who might have actually gone through things your character has.
Be Passionate - It really shows when a lot of effort has been put into an OC. Even an OC that in concept might not be all that special can still shine if you show your enthusiasm for the character. If you know your stuff and you really have a good grasp on what your character is like, it doesn't matter how 'bland' they may be.
Application Writing Tips:
Pay Attention to the Instructions - This might seem obvious, but every group gets these kind of apps. If a section isn't optional, you have to fill it in. If a section gives you a minimum or maximum amount of words, follow that guideline as close as you can. If you're restricted to certain talents for whatever reason, don't use any banned talents.
Read Over Your App - After you finish your app, it is so important that you read over it again. I know that once you "finish" an app the last thing you probably will want to do is work on it even more, but trust me on this. Look at your app through the eyes of a stranger. Is there anything that isn't explained very well? Are there any inconsistencies? Are there spelling and/or grammar mistakes? if there are (which more likely than not there probably will be), make sure you go through and iron out any wrinkles that your app might have before you send it in. It sucks, but this is really just how writing goes.
Show That You know What You're Talking About - Never should you write things like "I think they would..." or anything like that. Don't think, know. It is your character after all, and nobody knows them better than you do. If you can't even show that you know your own character, that can be a bad sign to the mods reading your app. Not only that, but if you have done research for your character, show it. I don't necessarily mean you need works cited page or something like that, but just show that you know a lot about your character's talent and anything else you might need to research.
Leave Nothing to the Imagination - If you can, be as thorough as possible. Show the mods exactly what your character is like, how they behave, what gets to them the most, etc. A lot of apps can have problems where it's not exactly clear what the character is like, and you really want to avoid falling into this problem as much as possible.
Don't Focus on Length - Some people just write a lot, while others might be very concise. If you've said everything you need to say and your app is still only around 1K - 2K, that is fine. For example in AC1 the app template was rather short, and I know both a person who got in with an app that was just over 1K and someone who got in with an app that was nearly 6K. So really, don't stress over the length of your app.
I'm crying because jaz got a mysterious pendant from the mono machine as her first item, and eleanor never found out whose item it was. When she asked lexi about it, she literally couldn't find out where it came from because it wasn't even on the list.

oh don’t even try pulling that shit on me, Miss Tokie. You can’t just take out the “what was my motive” card and expect it to save you now.
The others were starting to piss him off at this point. He was annoyed by how the others were trying to steer them in the wrong direction. Especially the ones who were still trying to pin the blame on Yasu or Jaz. He knew Jaz and Yasu, the three of them had all worked together to try and figure out who the mastermind was. There was no way that either of them could be the mastermind, right?
I talked to Monomi before we explored Summerland, and I learned quite a bit about this situation we’re in. I don’t know the full details, as she was being quite vague and cryptic, but I’ve started piecing things together. If you’ve even bothered to go outside, it’s obvious that we’re not on Earth anymore. That and from our little conversation, it seems like the human race… is no more.
He paused to think his words over a little more.
I’m not really sure what your motive is. But honestly, at this rate it’s hard to tell what is going on. So who knows as to what your motive could be.

He paused of a second to clear his throat. There was an obvious fault in Tokiko’s logic. He felt as if she was doing this on purpose, to throw them off. But he wasn’t going to have the theory that Jaz and him came up with shot down so easily.
I know that the mastermind is someone who is good with working with technology and equipment? Might I remind you back to the end of the second trial? When Mister Gohyaku pulled out his gun and attempted to shoot Monokuma, something very strange happened. It didn’t just backfire or explode, I definitely remember it sprayed oil on him and lit it ablaze.
He turned to face Jaz. Even though he hated Ginji, even though he found it disgusting that she killed someone, he considered her a great ally of his. Maybe even… a friend? That might be too much, though. He almost felt bad bringing up Ginji again, but it was necessary if they wanted to catch the mastermind.
Earlier, Jaz and I were sharing our mastermind theories with each other and she told me something very important. Mist Gohyaku specifically told her that his gun had been tampered with, most likely after they arrived in the base. I would imagine that he probably took good care of his guns and would have known if they were tampered with before we all arrived here. Although, he probably wasn’t expecting them to be tampered with afterwords. So I’m one hundred percent sure whoever the mastermind is was the one who did that.
His hands slammed down on the podium in front of him. It was time for an accusation. No matter how much he looked at the details, everything all seemed to point to one person in particular.
The machinery, the robots, everything along with this big clue. It’s all pointing towards a few people, but one of them stands out the most. Someone who would be capable of tampering with that gun in such a creative way. It all seems like the work… of an inventor.
Taking a deep breathe, it was was finally time for him to just say it.
The Beginning of the End || Ryuzaburo || Base Trial [RE: Everyone]
The trial was starting, the eighth trial. The fact that they had already done this seven times before was starting to set in. He didn’t want to do this anymore. He didn’t want anyone else he was only just beginning to actually care about to die.
Listen up everyone. This is where it all ends, you understand? I don’t know about the rest of you, but I know for sure who the mastermind is.
He didn’t really have all that much hope in the intelligence of a lot of the people he was stuck with. Either way, he hoped that they would at least cooperate with him for once.
If you want to make it out of here alive, you all better call for a mastermind vote this time. After all you’re my wonderwall, one of the only people that was close to figuring out this mess is dead. And if we let this chance pass us again, any last chance you guys have left will probably be gone.
