Positivity for an anxious Chiaki worried about getting a B in class

First of all: you are absolutely not worthless. Your worth is not defined by grades, there are so many more aspects  and you not worthless, no one is. No matter what anyone tells you or what your mind may try to convince you.

I know trying to get A’s sounds like a good goal, but if it is stressing you out, don’t overwork yourself to get to an A. B is a really good grade as well! I looked up the percentages, and if I’m correct, A is around 100-90% and B around 90-80%. Where I live, 70% is considered a good test. (That would be a C) If your mom or anyone else would be mad at you for getting a B, maybe you could tell them this? If they are still mad after this, you could try telling them that the pressure of getting constant A’s is really hard and stressfull. Your mental health should always come first. Your exact grades now will not matter in ten years if you have your diploma. Of course I know that this may not always be the solution to feel better again because you still are dealing with it everything now, but maybe it can give you some temporary relief to think about it.

And afterall if you think of it: a B is still 80-90% and that is still amazing. I know getting all A’s may sound great, but if it is affecting your emotions in a negative way, don’t pressure yourself to get an A. If you really do not want to score below an A and you get a B, don’t worry. Take a moment for yourself and do something you like; the future offers plenty of time and one B will not change the course of your future. You’re already doing great!

In short: your mental health always comes first, do so don’t pressure yourself into getting A’s all the time if it would mean overworking and stressing yourself. You’re doing an amazing job already.

[tw for mom memtion] Um, hi. Could I please request a self care or positivity for a very anxious Chiaki? I'm feeling a lot of anxiety because I think I may get a B in a class, and I fear that my mom may freak out and yell at me because of it. I honestly feel so bad about the possibility of getting a B too, and I'm trying to find a way to bring it up back to an A. I just feel pretty worthless because of it. Sorry if it's too much.

There is nothing wrong with being excited, talking about the things you love or being affectionate and it definetely does not make you annoying! For me personally, I absolutely love it when I see someone talk about the things they love, they always get so happy and excited and their eyes are sparkling. It’s really cute; I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way! When someone is your friend, they should love seeing you excited and happy when talking about stuff you love! You could try thinking of this: if your friends are talking about things that make them happy, are you ever annoyed by them? If your answer to that is no, your friends would most likely answer the same thing. So I really don’t think you’re annoying anyone by being excited (and if not, I do not think that is a sign of a healthy friendship)

As for the affectionate part: too much love usually isn’t a bad thing, as long as you aren’t smothering your friends. It’s human to crave affection and attention so most people really like getting this and you are not annoying friends by giving them affection! If you do notice that they are getting bothered by this affection, I’d say talk to them so you know how they feel. Usually both parties get out of this better and you’ll have a clear conscience about it. But as I said: most people don’t really mind affection or attention.
