Blowing Out Old Flames [OPEN]
Quickly, Kimmy switched her expression to seem a little less…uncaring. Instead, she tried to seem a little upset, even if the chance of it being bought by the other girl seemed slim.
"I…I knew her…yeah…s-she was…Ellie Spledida…I’m glad she’s gone and no one had to deal with her…you know? She was…a terrible person…used to go to middle school with her…I…I could never forget her…and everything she did…"
She began to wipe her fake tears and sobbing into her hands….trying to fool the other girl into caring for her.
Kanyume simply stared at her in disbelief, not really wanting to say anything rude or anything but...urgh. She shuffled around on her spot, coughing a bit to try to think up a way to explain how wrong the other was.
"...I heard you earlier. Sorry."
There. It wasn't insulting, plus she wasn't implying she hated the other! Which she didn't but words can come out terribly. But...maybe she could've used much better wording? No, this is not the time to rethink words...
"That was pretty good though...?"
Blowing Out Old Flames [OPEN]
The sight of the body…well as much as she wanted to say it bothered her, riled her up…she didn’t care. It wasn’t because of how the body had been treated, or the fact that someone died…honestly death of anyone else might’ve gotten at least some reaction from her, but all Kimmy could do now was stare at the dead girl smiling on the floor.
"Huh…good riddance, I guess. The bitch had it coming anyway! I didn’t even know she was in this castle…oh well, least I didn’t have to deal with her again."
The singer crossed her arms over her chest and turned away from the body, removing the powdery substance from her boots from after she walked in.
"…Even when she’s fucking dead, she’s still smiling…god what a freak…"
Looking around, she almost hoped no one heard her speak…though some were giving her strange looks.
"What the fuck do you want, hun? Can’t you see a lady is in ‘distress’ here?"
Did she notice her glance? It seems that she did, and that probably meant that she would have to answer back. She honestly just wanted to get out of the place.
"I am sorry, I didn't want to disturb you, miss."
She frowned slightly, running her hands through her hair. Was she...happy about the death? She didn't really want to judge or anything, in fact she strives for not judging, but...it seemed pretty cruel.
"Did you two have something together...?"
Beegone // Body Discovery
"Ick....Gross gross gross gross. I knew it, I knew it--!"
The body in front of her, the body of someone she never even met before is dead. And also smiling, but she really didn't want to address that out loud. The worst has happened, and Kanyume already guessed it. When something is gone, people would do anything for it...
Holding her head in her hands, she took a couple of deep breaths before coughing. God, the room was smoked! And it...really hurt her lungs. Kanyume quickly covered her mouth with her sleeves, before looking around at the others. It really was real...
HERE YE HERE YE, A PEASANT HAS BEEN DISCOVERED (1)
You may be asking yourself…who is this peasant we’ve found ourselves today?
Why it’s…
(WARNING: We received art of the death! Please be weary of: bruises, burns and multiple stab wounds. A super special thanks to Linda for the amazing art!)

Hard to Beelieve... // OPEN
Etsuko was completely taken aback by this outburst of what seemed like nonsense. “S-slow down, doll I can barely understand a word you’re saying, bunny. The fakeloo artist behind this load of bushwa’s taken something from everyone, I got that much, but what have you lost that’s so important, doll?”
She awkwardly put her hands in her coat pocket, looking at the other girl with earnest, questioning eyes. “You can tell me what’s wrong, kiddo. Everything going to be jake, all right?”
Etsuko had no idea what to do, really. She was good at writing, good at running, good at snooping around. She was not good at comforting people or making them feel better.
The beekeeper bit her lower lip, her body visibly shaking. Would it be okay to say? Will nothing bad happen if she said it out loud? She didn't know this person very well, and to be honest, she'd rather not do such a thing.
"It's um...-- I-I am sorry but I can't tell you...Maybe soon, maybe maybe...Ick! I'm sorry I really gotta hurry and find it...!"
She bowed quickly before frowning at the other. It felt so bad for leaving her alone but she had to find it before anyone else does. God, if someone knew that she had...she would be screwed! Kanyume waved quickly before scurrying off.
Hard to Beelieve... // OPEN
Etsuko heard yelling and ran. With what that crazy goddamn mustard plaster of a bear announcing all of this garbage about bumping people off, she couldn’t afford to be careless. None of them could. Her own object was a loss of great value that she was seriously worried about, but that could come afterwards. Lives were more important
Sprinting full pace into the corridor with a determined look on her face, the freckled girl stopped short when she saw that whoever had been making the yelling was very much still alive and breathing, and she moved to berate the girl for making such a fuss, but stopped herself. She might be alive, but the stranger certainly did not seem well.
Gently putting out a hand to touch the girl on the shoulder, Etsuko tried her best to smile reassuringly. “What’s eating you, kiddo?”
Kanyume jumped from the newcomer's voice, before settling down a bit Man, she was pretty bad right now, huh? Her reckless searching for her one important object is nowhere to be found, and she will probably just push it away. God, it didn't feel right at all, it was like her head was screaming at her or something.
"The stupid...It took my stash of good luck..."
She didn't feel like elaborating as it would probably just cause some looks of discomfort and other emotions from the other gal, and it would be much better if that kept hushed down. Kanyume wasn't paranoid was she?! She swore that she heard noises right before the other came. It was definitely trying to find her right now.
"I really really need it back; I can die without it, two of my closest relatives are gone because of it, and I am already waiting for the apocalypse to come because of my stupid mistake of not keeping it close to me...--!"
Taking a deep breath, she began to tug at her own sleeves as a way to distract herself from this situation. She just really wanted to hide under a bed to avoid this calamity.
Hard to Beelieve... // OPEN
Kanyume looked through her room once, twice, thrice, and it still wasn't there. No, no god it had to be there, it had to be somewhere but it couldn't be the thing taken away. Her hands began to shake as she searched again and again. Where was it? Where was it?! She was screwed now, she was definitely going to die now because it’s gone. Kanyume should’ve kept it with her, kept it safe and sound and no one would pay for it.
“No no no please…Please come on, I know you are somewhere around here, please I beg you to show up!”
Her voice was much more stressed and panicked, the complete opposite of before. She quickly got out of the room, her eyes gazing around frantically in a haze of nervousness.
“I-I am so sorry, please show up please show up, please PLEASE--!”
Kanyume glanced behind her, before doing the exact thing another two times. It felt much better that way, it felt so much better. God, she felt so lost right now and it definitely did not feel good at all.

MOTIVE 1: THE WAR OF DESPAIR BEGINS
((monobear sprites will be added later since I’m on mobile! Sorry!))
The screens littered around the school light up, a familiar figure appears and laughs loudly and it seems to be standing in front of a stack of objects, all hidden by a tarp.
"Hello again, bastards! I guess you guys aren’t feeling the despair quite yet, no one’s dead!"
"So…here is a little boost! Get that blood of yours pumping! I’ve prepared a MOTIVE! Now…if you were smart enough, you’d notice you’ve got something missing…well, I stole it! I stole all your most prized possessions!"
He removes the tarp to reveal everything he’s stolen.
"Call it cliche, I don’t really care! This’ll get those despair gears rolling, I just know it!"
"And you might be wondering how to get your things back…weeeeeell…"
"SOMEONE HAS TO DIE! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!"
"Alright~ Time for me to leave, Upupupuu~"
"WHEN I COME BACK, SOMEONE BETTER BE DEAD!"
and with that, the screens turn off…
((HELLO! Our very first motive…..let me explain how this will go down. YOU decide what was stolen! You don’t have to say what it was, but it HAS to be your most prized possession! Don’t just make it something they couldn’t care less for (unless that’s their reaction to losing the thing they cherish most.
It can also be something that they didn’t bring into the castle prior! Here’s an example (not canon btw)
Say Ellie loses her belt, everything she’s worked so hard on was in there. Or maybe she lost the picture of someone she knew which she didn’t have on her person when waking up. Something they really care for!))
Welcome home, honey!
"Eh, it’s so unknown….such a shame!"
Noticing Kanyume fix her hair, Harue glanced up in a vain attempt to see their own. It didn’t look too bad, did it? Oh well. They adjusted their hat a bit, before answering her question.
"Ah, yes. Kamishibai. It’s an old form of storytelling, using a box and some cards. Each card has an illustration to go with the story on it, and they’re all stacked and put in the box. As the narrator, someone like me, tells the tale, they take the card in the front and put it in the back, so the one beneath it’s visible! When you think about it’s not too spectacular, but it’s enjoyable, yeah!”
"That actually sounds...pretty cool. I never really heard of it, but I suppose you learn something new everyday."
Kanyume should really look more into kamishibai, but...how can she when they were stuck in this dungeon of a castle?! Pretty weird huh.
"As a future bonding idea, maybe you could show me a bit of kamishibai? If you have time of course, I do not want to stress anyone out."
Welcome home, honey!
The image of the sleepy-looking girl standing in front of Harue roughing up the bear they’d seen before, or at least someone in charge, would certainly be a sight to behold, the storyteller thought.
"For their own sake, I really hope you get their things! I’d honestly hate to be the one on the receiving end of whatever you could dish out!"
In response to Kanyume’s introduction Harue bowed, waving one hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Kanno-chan! Beekeeping, eh? Sounds like a job that’d take some getting used to and most definitely would be interesting. And as for me, Harue Okudaira, SHSL Kamishibai at your service."
"Oh well, I am still getting used to it, I guess. But enough about me, I never heard of a Kamishibai before, may you please explain that to me?"
She gave a small chuckle, fixing up her own bed hair. Might as well look good than look disinterested, and Kanyume definitely didn't want that to happen with her newest possible friend!
Welcome home, honey!
Having managed to bound into view of a fresh face in this strange and pristine environment, the Peddler was absolutely ecstatic. Which would provide at least some sort of insight as to why she’d taken it upon herself to leap in the path of the Honey-Haired Young Lady who appeared to be having a perfectly suitable conversation with herself. Looks like that wouldn’t last long. ‘And, surely, Ccieri had whipped her Digital Speaker from the Assortment in her basket, typing something into it swiftly while bending at the waist; it appeared to be some sort of last-ditch effort to prove similar to a greeting.
Just seconds later; upon the Street Vendor’s straightening, she flashed the other a cheery smile, eyes nearly twinkling with exuberance. That was when the Automated voice rose from the White Machine she’d typed away at, reading out:
"Oh! W-Why, it’s great to see someone else around here! Were you pulled into being a ‘victim’ of this silly, playful ploy as well? P-Perhaps I can ask of you to help me figure out who is playing this joke on us? Oh! Silly me, I should introduce myself fir-first. Ccieri Hiruichi, at your w-will, Miss! Might I say, you are looking awfully tired. ‘But-!! In a good way..! That is normal to say,right..? Uuuu, I’m messing this up, aren’t I?"
"Y-You may feel free to simply pretend I am not here and that I have n-never been if you wish, M-Miss. My apologies…"
Kanyume smiled sheepishly at the other, feeling much more relaxed from her previous small freak out. At least there were some good people around here.
"Oh um, nice to meet you, Ccieri. I look like this most of the time, don't get a headache over it."
"The name's Kanyume Kanno, however to answer your question, I do not know who exactly is the one responsible for this. Though, that killing thing does worry me..."
Welcome home, honey!
"I wouldn’t worry about it."
As they wandered the halls Harue couldn’t have helped but overhear the girl’s mumbled musings. The edges of their lips curled up into a small smile, hoping it was at least a little bit reassuring.
"Our rooms were all nice and it for us, right? Or, at least mine was. But if whatever took us here took the care to do that, I think they’d make sure your things were okay."
"I sure hope so. I would have to give them a piece of my mind if they did not..."
Kanyume tilted her head to the side, suddenly realized that this was someone she hasn't met before! How saddening. They certainly seemed pretty okay, no screaming or anything, so it was pretty cool.
"Kanyume Kanno, Super High School Level Beekeeper. An absolute pleasure to meet you."
