Cam impatiently waited for the mayor to stop talking. Geez, didn’t he know that it was hot? Cam was even wearing shorts today, but it was still awful outside! 

They had to admit the entrance with the bird was cool and they kind of wanted to try it for themself, but other than that, they didn’t pay too much attention. As long as they got the main points, it was okay! Aside from rolling their fingers, Cam listened quietly, but half-heartedly. It wasn’t until the mayor stopped talking that they actually reacted to the new rule.

“Bwa ha ha ha! What’s with that?! Killing each other because this Mayor Dude told us to? And the hell kinda name is Monobear? What kind of bear lives in the des-”

Cam couldn’t even finish their sentence before doubling over in laughter. Clearly, they hadn’t grasped the gravity of the situation. For whatever reason, they found their new living circumstances to be absolutely hilarious. Of course, they didn’t really want to be stuck in the desert forever; it was disgustingly hot and they couldn’t get to competitions if they couldn’t leave! On the other hand, they didn’t dislike any of their classmates so far and they did have a captive audience to practice on… It was all a matter of looking on the bright side.

“Well, whatever! I’ll just have fun until they bring out the cameras and tell us that it’s all a big joke.”

Cam whistles to themself as they leave the town square. Besides the whole “killing people” joke, Mayor Dude didn’t set down any other annoying rules (not that they would have listened even if he did, mind you), so Cam was completely free to go have more fun. Besides, Mayor Dude was even providing money for them to spend!

Roommate and kitchen misadventures aside, they had more looking around to do! There was always plenty of things to do anywhere if you knew where to look, and that was exactly what they were going to do. In theory.

In practice they somehow managed to double back to the bathroom twice before stumbling into a room full of boxes. Well, that was less than inspiring. At least there was someone else there! They sure seemed to have a habit of running into people here, but it was a pretty small city, and besides, it gave them something to do! Like talking. They could talk for ages. They’d talk to a wall if they had to, but it was more fun when there was some give-and-take in conversation.

“He-llo there.”

They gave an open-toothed smile up. Way up. What was it with their classmates and being so…tall? Oh well, they seemed friendly enough, Kohaku could deal with the neck strain.

“Of course. And how can I provide my assistance?”

…The light fixtures probably had something to do with it, but it was worth asking to be something approaching polite.

Whoa, they didn’t expect to get a response that quickly. Aside from the unbearable hear, maybe this was their lucky day! They grinned right back down at their classmate.

“Hey-o!”

And they were even offering to help, too? Nice!

“Thanks, thanks~! I need help setting up all these light fixtures somewhere dark…maybe the laser tag maze? I wanna throw a rave.”

Do you maybe want to explain that a little further, Cam? No? Okay.

They grabbed a few boxes and stacked them on top of each other. They’d need more than one trip, even with help, so it would be much faster if they carried as many boxes as possible all at once. The boxes blocked their face, but they leaned off to the side to continue talking.

“I’m Cam Licht, Super High School Level Glover, if you were wondering! If you help me out, I’ll give you a light show later, free of charge!” They wiggled their gloved fingers, which lit up in response to the movement. The boxes started to tip precariously and they quickly readjusted their hands to a safer position. “Just Cam is fine, by the way. Being all formal and stuff is kind of a bother, y’know? We’re probably classmates anyway, so nice to meetcha!”

If Cam wasn’t holding boxes, they most definitely would have flashed a peace sign. Please stop them.

Ah, America! Land of the free! Home of the great fast food! It was such a blessing to be back in their mother country so quickly that Cam could’ve cried. Sure, it was only a field trip, they were kind of out in the middle of Nowheresville, Desert Land, population: a single class of students, and it was super hot, but it was America!

…It really was hot, though. Between a black shirt, black pants, a black bandana, and thick gloves, Cam was pretty much already dying. Even standing in the shade, they could feel themself getting sweaty. It wasn’t even then kind of sweat you got working hard, it was the awful sweat of just standing there in the heat.

Anyway, for a field trip, wasn’t there a certain lack of adults? Just because there weren’t any teachers yet didn’t mean there wouldn’t be any later. Teachers meant worksheets and worksheets meant not getting to actually enjoy the field trip! If Cam’s scene kid clothed ass had to burn out in the desert, they were going to have fun there, dammit! Besides, what was with those rules? Was whoever running the show really expecting a bunch of teenagers to go to bed at 10 P.M.? Really?

(A brief moment of silence for Camille Licht’s roommates. Their well-deserved sleep shall be dearly missed.)

Feeling determined to do something with their dubious amount of free time, Cam went scavenging throughout the city. They noted a few rooms that deserved further inspection, but interestingly enough, they found themself spending a fair deal of time in the storage room. The reason? They saw the lighting equipment and had the very questionable idea of holding their own rave.

They started to move the light fixtures out the room when they finally realized the most obvious flaw in their plan: they couldn’t possibly carry all of the equipment. That, and they had no idea where they could possibly set up everything. They weren’t one for plans, after all.

Tapping their fingers rhythmically against their thigh, Cam thought about what they could do. They couldn’t see anyone, but surely someone would hear them if they called out enough, right? They were used to talking over loud music, so shouting wasn’t a problem at all. Mentally reminding themself to speak Japanese, Cam raised their voice.

“Hey, wanna help me out?”

would your oc know cam? probably not, unless they follow gloving or tend to frequent a lot of night clubs. they have videos up on youtube and niconico, but again, unless your oc is into gloving, they probably would not have heard of cam.

cam’s lived in japan (....somewhere in tokyo) for about five years, but before that they were living in south California!

hello i’m limit! she/her and they/them pronouns for me. i’m 12 17 and i love to suffer all the time. i live in that sweet est/edt timezone. i like to stay awake until 2-4 am and then wake up at noon. the only thing i want tagged is visuals of irl nsfw but that’s not really an issue with rps so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

as for who i’m playing here...camille licht is. they sure are something. they’ll probably introduce themself as just cam. they’re agender (they/them) and the shsl glover! i should mention that this means that they give light shows with their gloves....they don’t make gloves. they’re weird and tall and american. don’t trust them.

this video is all you really need to know about them. you think i’m joking but im not.

there are only 3 things i want out of SOD2 and they are as follows:

1. cam starts a rave in the desert

2. cam joins a party squad

3. cam dies

Okay, but seriously speaking, I’m really shy. I struggle with approaching people, so I don’t really speak up all that often. It’s not that I’m not interested, I’m just really nervous. I CARE I PROMISE.....I really do want to talk to everyone!! (Even if I’m not talking, I’m probably still sitting in the ooc chat tbh....)
