I donât know if anyone is still here, but I have remade this blog. If youâd still like to follow me and interact, check it out on shslmakeup!
Iâm not sure what to call this at this point? I suppose Iâm on semi-hiatus now.
I just havenât had much motivation or muse for this blog. I may be on sporadically for a while until Iâm feeling better. It just seems like not many people really want to rp with me here considering only 2 people I didnât specifically ask to read my new rules and followed their instructions. Iâve been in a rut with Emiko for a long time, and that was kind of the final straw. I know Iâm being hypocritical by giving up when I tell other people not to so often, but I just need a time out. Feel free to message me anytime though either here or on my other blog.Â
At Emikoâs good news a smile spread across Byakurenâs lips as an injection of warmth filled her heart; as silly as it was she was incredibly proud of her, especially since she had been working so hard after their tutoring sessions. While before she might have claimed that it was because of her that her friend was doing so well, now she knew otherwiseâshe had genuinely put forth her best effort, and was excelling as a result. And that was something that the heiress greatly admired in anyone who chose to do so.
âCongratulations,â she replied, giggling slightly as the makeup artist smeared some nail polish on her cheek. Taking one of the tissues that had been placed nearby, she murmured âHold stillâ as she carefully wiped it off, not even bothering to check if her nails were dry before doing so. Why was it that whenever she was with Emiko all her inhibitions and hesitations disappeared without warning? It was as though she was reverting into the cheerful young girl she used to be, so long agoâŠ
âAh whoops! I must have got some while I was talking, huh?â
It was just like her to get some of whatever she was using all over her face. It happened on any good project, and she had almost come to see it as a sign that what she was working on would turn out well! If she was concentrating so much that she didnât notice paint all over her face, it had to be her best work, right?
It was a simple thing, wiping some nail polish off of her face, but Emiko knew enough about Ren to know that it meant she was really comfortable around her. The heiress wouldnât relax around just anyone, which meant Emiko had to work hard to get as far as she was. It took all her self control not to leap over the open bottles of nail polish and hug her tightly.Â
âBut really, I couldnât have done it without your help and patience! Thanks so much.â
âTheâŠX-FilesâŠ?â
As she held Emiko in a tight yet slightly awkward embrace she couldnât help but wonder what on earth she was talking about. She hadnât been given any details on the case she would be assigned to, but knowing her friend it was probably something outlandish and otherwise strange, and her office only served to prove her inference as true: pictures and posters of monsters and aliens covered the walls, along with papers strewn all over with words highlighted and underlined that didnât make any sense. UFOs? Conspiracy? She knew Emiko had always been a bit eccentric, but this wasâŠ
Well, it explained why no one had been assigned to her in months. She had been warned that her new partner was pursuing a series of cases that were futile and ridiculous, but she had taken the gossip of absolute strangers with a grain of saltâperhaps she should have listened more closely in order to prepare herself. Regardless, she trusted Emiko with her life, and she dearly hoped that she would be able to prove all the talk wrong, at least to some extent.
Pulling back slightly so she could see her friendâs eyes, she asked, âIâve been assigned to be your partner, butâŠwhat are the X-Files? I havenât been told a thing about this case.â
Emiko had beamed at the word âpartnerâ her excitement flaring as she realized that not only would she finally have someone to work with, but it would be someone she already trusted... at least until she heard the second part of her sentence.
âOh... they didnât tell you...?â
Something told her that no one had been brave enough to tell the intimidating heiress and obvious skeptic that she was going to be working on the strangest of the strange. She knew everyone thought she was a nut for working on these things, but it had only been a few months and she had some really promising cases.
âWell...â Emiko did her best to brighten up, because she really did love her work, âThe X-Files are cases that come to the Agency that canât be solved with normal methods. That means we get a lot of cases that have to do with unexplained phenomena, fringe science, and well... the possibility of extraterrestrial life.âÂ
She hoped she had done a decent job of explaining. The project had been all but abandoned for about 15 years now, and Emiko had been the first agent to show any interest in even longer than that.Â
âThere are hundreds of cases, and new ones are coming in every day. Iâbe been having a hard time keeping up, honestly... Some are obviously fake, but there are others that... well I donât know... I believe them.â
While Emiko wasnât as skilled as the girls who had played before, she certainly put up a valiant effort against the taunting machine. In fact, Shiori became slightly dizzy while watching her legs and feet go in all sorts of different directions, and she quickly found that it was best to watch the screen instead of her friend. Still, she seemed to be having fun, and soon she found herself laughing along with her as well.Â
âGreat job,â she enthused, genuinely believing that Emiko had done rather well for herself, especially with the speed and complexity of the song. âYou did really wellâŠit looks pretty difficult, thoughâŠâ
As she spoke, Shiori began to doubt that she would be any good at such a fast-paced gameâor if she wanted to play it, even. She could surely see herself falling flat on her face or causing them both to fail, making all their efforts in vain. Perhaps she was taking things too seriously, but she didnât want either of them to be uncomfortable, especially in front of so many peopleâeven if they werenât paying attention, if one of them made a fool of themselves then all eyes would definitely be on themâŠ
âDo you wanna try? You donât have to if you donât wanna! I can totally show you another game instead.â
Emiko could tell by the way Shiori was biting her lip that she was worried, and that was definitely not what their day at the arcade was about. Today was a day to have fun and relax, and if the game was gonna upset her that way then Emiko wanted nothing to do with it!Â
Hmm, was there a way she could make her friend less nervous? Maybe if they worked as a team, she would feel  better.... Not to mention that she would definitely pick a slower song!Â
âI only want you to play if itâs gonna be fun, ok? We could even share a dance pad if you want!â
âHmm?â Sheda was walking down the classroom halls when she heardâŠsinging? It was coming from one of the nearby classroom. The girl did not recognize the lyrics, but she recognized the type of music it was from. Whoever was singing it, they had a lovely voice.
For lack of anything better to to, Sheda decided to see who was singing. In a few moments, she had tracked the singing to an empty classroom. She poked her head in, and saw another student working diligently on a prosthetic mask. They had a very ambiguous figure, and if not for her voice Sheda would have been more unsure of her gender.
âHello.â She said. Better for a plain introduction than to sneak up and accidentally startle the girl. âThatâs a very lovely singing voice.â
âW-wha?â Emiko still jumped at the sound of a strangerâs voice, splattering black paint from her brush up over her own face. âA lovely voice? Me? Are you sure...? Because Natsuko says I sound like someone strangling a cat.â
She was surprised to see someone so exotic looking standing in the doorway, and almost wondered if she was dreaming... but even her subconscious knew she couldnât sing very well. It was a happy sound, but definitely not one youâd put in your band.

ââYou have the right to unfollow someone because they rp with someone that has caused you unneeded stress and not get shit for it!ââ
Say it again:
ââYou have the right to unfollow someone because they rp with someone that has caused you unneeded stress and not get shit for it!ââ
If someone has wronged you, treated you like you were less than what you were, or is just in general a shit person, you have the right to unfollow people even ones that you consider friends because they play with someone that made you feel less than what you are. It does not make you a bad friend or roleplayer because you canât stand to look at the URL because it brings back certain bad feelings.
You have that right. Itâs not âbreaking upâ with a friend. Itâs taking control over what is on YOUR dash and what YOU want to see and not see on YOUR blog. Sometimes Tumblr Savior doesnât work and XKit is no longer available on some browsers, itâs acceptable for you to unfollow for your own mental health.

Iâm back, and eager to start RPing with everyone again, but first, a few items of business:
Iâve done a major overhaul of my rules and my mun page.  Reading the mun page is optional, but the rules are manditory. I wonât be RPing with anyone who hasnât read them or breaks them.Â
Iâm dropping all but a few of my threads from before, so that I can really get a fresh start. Iâll be posting starter calls daily, as well as ask memes that youâre welcome to send whether your OC has met Emiko or not.Â
Please like this post if you read it, so that I know how many people are paying attention. Thanks!Â
As silly as it sounded, Byakuren had applied to join the Public Security Intelligence Agency purely out of boredom, as running the Conglomerate was much too easy for a beautiful and talented girl like her. However, she certainly hadnât expected to be accepted into it, let alone meet both her girlfriend and her best friend through the rigorous training program. As the three of them graduated things were going quite well, but they had been pulled in completely opposite directionsâŠand while the heiress and her lover had moved in together, they hadnât been able to talk to the third member of their group for some time now as she had been assigned to a top-secret mission. Things were about to change, thoughâŠ
Having received a memo with a room number on it and a command to go speak to the agent inside for her next assignment, Byakurenâs curiosity was sparked by the lack of informationâŠand then completely engulfed in flames when she saw the name on the doorâEmiko Hiwatori, the girl she hadnât seen in months. Lingering outside for a few moments as she tried to shake off the sudden, intense excitement welling up in her chest she curtly knocked on the door, nearly bursting inside when a familiar voice cheerily answered.
âHello, EmikoâŠitâs been a while, hasnât it?â
Emikoâs entire face lit up at the sight of her friend. How long had it been since theyâd seen each other? Three months at least, and maybe more. She leapt out of her chair and pulled Ren into a very unprofessional hug.Â
âRen!! Ohmygoodness! What are you doing here?â
Questions and possible answers raced across her mind, but none of them quite fit. What was Ren doing here? She was a member of the PSIA just like Emiko was, but she had been on much higher profile assignments, and doing an amazing job. Lower level workers gossipped about how amazing she and Shiori were at their jobs. But now she had been assigned here? Emiko almost couldnât believe it. As much as she believed in the necessity of her work, she had been starting to feel like most of the cases she got were just thrown together to distract her from something else... something bigger. Was that something bigger what had brought Ren to this department?
âI-I mean, welcome to the X-Files office!âÂ

Emiko had stayed late working in a spare classroom again, and since she had missed dinner, she was snacking on Hostess cakes instead with a bottle of cream soda to wash it down. Not the healthiest decision ever, and neither was the loud American pop music she had blaring from her iHome. She had decided though that she could get a little crazy since she was all alone in the classroom side of the school (as far as she knew). Now she was happily singing along at the top of her lungs as she worked on her latest monster creationâthe beast from Beauty and the Beast.
âȘ âWhyâd you have to go and make things so complicated~!â âȘ

âAh, hey, wait!âÂ
She pounded after the other student, and tapped on her shoulder once she caught up. Once they turned Emiko held out a student id card, hoping she had picked the right person to give it to.
âExcuse me? I think you dropped this back thereâŠâ
