âĄA stranger I remain. { Event 1 | Open }
One behind another fell into the death game. Was there a reason behind this senseless massacre ? Traces of despair left behind every time someone decided to commit such acts without remorse, because deep down each participant already stained their hands, said memories whipped from their minds.
" I-- I've been missing plenty of relevant events, haven't I ? "
[ soda mission woohoo ] --} open
For one who had worked with countless blueprints, having comprehended illegible scribbles of mechanic jargon as if they were composed of the workings of his second language, Kazuichi Souda was, without a doubt, completely stumped by this simple city map. He turned it this way and that, his head tilting in confusion and the corners of his lips turning down in an unhappy frown.Â
It shouldnât have proven to be such a difficult feat to locate the particular area he was looking for; after all, it was commonplace to see one every few meters or so, or so he thoughtâŚÂ But after another few seconds of useless paper-shuffling, a frustrated exhale left him, as he messily folded the paper and tucked it into his back pocket.
In the end, he resigned to asking the nearest person he saw. He allowed several people to pass by undisturbed first, hesitating for just a second too long. But after a moment, he managed to walk up to someone and lightly tapped on their shoulder, to catch their attention. âHey, you.â
âYou wouldnât happen to know where the nearest vending machine was, would you?â
With knowing there was a place where she could stay, it counted as one less worry for the princess now that she managed to settle properly. Meant she had more time to explore Hive City as much as she pleased, trying to know more about it and meet their citizens if luck was kind enough with this young woman. Minor details such as tracing a map or following a certain point about the place never struck Sonia's mind at this point, considering how many surprises this could reserve if she tried to plan out her trip around every street. Much better if she kept everything as a mystery that needed to be solved, made it more exciting.
Like now, being called out of nowhere. A simple question that didn't need such a thoughtful answer but she did took her time to reply to what can be called a stranger now. Turning around to reply at the inquire, aquamarine eyes perking up to meet with a neon pink-haired male that she would recognize everywhere, appearance quite difficult to forget no matter where she was. It took her less than a second to react.
Grabbing both of his hands without any doubt nor even giving a moment to think about her sudden action, Sonia's gaze quickly sparked up in complete excitement. First Gundam and Pekoyama, now Souda ! They were all here, none of them showing a single scratch. Sonia couldn't stop but getting giddy and ignored completely the fact this was not exactly the better place for them to meet again. It was better than Jabberwock island at least.
" Souda-san ! I'm so relieved ! "
" Ah, you were trying to find a vending machine. Forgive me, I got a bit too happy. We can try looking out for one together in this very instant if that's what you want. "
Release
Wasnât that the exact definition of a stalker? To follow someone against their will? To insist on accompanying the despite the fact that they would much rather be absent your companionship. Didnât she have a home to go to, or something?Â
And what was this about being at his side for a long time? Just how long did this girl thing her little experiment was going to last? There was only so much politeness he could do before it came to be a little old. Whatever, might as well just let her tag for a bit and lower her guard, before blowing the girl off completely.
âSonia Nevermind. Right.â Because even her name had to be bizarre. Forget Sakura, this young woman was in a league all her own.Â
As for surrendering his own information, she wouldnât be given that particular luxury. He just needed a name so that he could look her up in the directory later on in the evening, just in case the Code: Number decided to pay her a visit after all.Â
The food comment didnât sound like to bad of an idea, though. Maybe something on his stomach would make dealing with her a little more bearable.
âYou must be use to always getting your way, Miss Nevermind.â A statement, not a question. She certainly wasnât taking no for an answer right now. Hands went into his pockets as they turned a corner, heading for the cheap diner that lie just on the outskirts of Sector 3.
Someone should see this in a more optimistic way, it was not like the princess had any bad intentions nor anything similar, she was no threat for him and that was the main problem. At most, her personality showed enough persistence to continue at his side. In the princess young's life, not a single person ever had this terrible impact. Or maybe there was one-- yet it was not the same sort of impression, this one could fell into a terrible coldness. Taking aside all of the danger this person implicated, she wondered deep down if there could be a way to reach him. Even a little bit.
Silently walking, never gazing away from his figure and awaiting for his reply with a certain spark of impatience. Not capable to keep the humble act anymore, she finally hurried up her steps to walk at his side. The distance was still obvious between them, physically not much now. Not daring to question his name again, she allowed this to be until they could reach the dinner place. Then he would not escape fom her questions.
" I merely try to do the correct. Like I said, I have no ill intention and I would be really happy if we can both share this wonderful night together. I'm afraid you may know more than I do about this city. " But it was true, she could not deny such reality. Sometimes due her good heart and how easy was to lure others without any bad intention, somtimes it was because of how determined (stubborn in this case) she was. Tilting her head to the side, attempting to keep a serious demeanor around him.
Have to be at least professional.
It took her a moment to realize as well how they were entering what can be called a restaurant in Sonia's try to give it more decency it had. Little she could complain now since he accepted so she reserved all commentaries and decided to look out for a table.
Ah, the night barely started.
â Weâre a happy working song. (Apartment G-2)
Sure it got complicated to find the complex and the correct apartment. It was different from the island, comparing to it where they have a space for their own where it could be personalized just as her heart's content desired. When Sonia finally arrived to the correct location after a long night for a first day she found it empty, no sign of the others. Although this was nowhere bad, it just needed to be cleaned out a bit. In a hearbeat she got an idea, a small token of kindness from her part that would as well express gratitude.
For a princess, she liked to clean out too much. Any domestic activity would be clearly welcomed to her daily schedule. Not much could be done, of course aside from opening the few windows around to let air circulate-- the smog that was leaking around to be more specific. This complex was completely disgusting but it wouldn't stop the young woman to attempt make this more suitable for everyone. It barely took time for her to find enough motivation and dust out the few furniture they got, make the beds again, etc. All of the cliche included, Sonia's hum turned into a song that could be heard all around the building. Of course, she had to be a princess and god will only know how she got a good amount of birds flying around the rooms, making musical company to the song.
It took no time until she would notice the pair who would be living with her from now and on, they were going to end up meeting no matter what.
" I hope you do not mind I wanted to get this a bit tidy for us.~ "
" Please let us take care of it like it is our true home in the meantime and get along !! I am Sonia Nevermind and it's truly a honor to be your roommate. " Proceeding to bow, hands still holding the broom and completely ignoring the presence of a tiny bird that decided to make itself comfortable at the top of Sonia's head, chirping happily alongside her. A wide smile incapable to hide due her excitement of her hard effort to make this place good enough for those who would be her companions in these harsh times. Lifting her head up once again to face them, shooing the feathery creature while fixing up her tresses, said bird flying away and when trespassing the window-- it fell downward due intoxication.
Welcome to complex oo2.

âI would disagree.â
Innocent until proven guilty. That particular addendum was exactly why Code: Breaker existed in the first place. To judge those that couldnât be judged by conventional law. To vanquish the evil that thought themselves beyond scrutiny. To catch the things in the night before they dare go bump.Â
It was people like this girl that were truly irritating. The ones that had no real idea about how the world worked, behind the scenes. They assumed that the police and the government worked to prosecute criminals. Thought that they were some kind of security blanket.
It was ignorant. Naive. And the reason that so many of them died every day. Just like that girl from moments before.
The rest of her words were enough to draw a laugh from the Code, even if it was more of a mocking tone than anything else. Did she really intend on being an escort? The though alone was hilarious, at the least. Besides, what help could she possibly be?
âSafety in numbers only applies when youâre actually a threat, you know. but tag along, if you really want. Iâd be happy to have the company.â
He didnât have the juice to purge anyone else, anyways. This limiter was really starting to get to him. It was too messy to do it any other way, on top of being forced to dispose of the bodies. A glance was given over his shoulder to see if the Princess really was following him, smiling that same fake smile before continuing down the street.
âI should probably know my stalkers name, Miss.â
Stalker ? Did she heard wrong or ...? There was no point on fighting back, it would cause more troubles than the already ones she had. For a first day this was getting worst by the second. Even when hearing that she stopped walking only to smile at a blank point in slight confusion only to shook her head afterwards.
" I assure you I am nowhere near to develop such sort of tendencies. Even if I had a different interest in you I would let you know immediately and be clear with my intentions. " She was honest at least, the only option available was to follow him around much against his will. Sonia had no idea what to do, neither how to act when this was becoming more confusing by the second. Holding her right cheek with one hand, the princess sighed and continued to tag alone, a few steps behind him.
" Hmm, but you have all the right to know my name since I will be at your side for a long time. I am Sonia Nevermind. You may be ? " In sake to develop a good relation, she did her best to spill out every necessary information so he could feel comfortable with doing the same. " It does not hurt to have someone else to share space with. "
Also keeping an eye on him was the main interest, she just didn't have the heart to mention it aloud yet. It was a mixed sort of ideals that forbade her from acting further and in silence, putting aside what brought them to share this night. " You mentioned being hungry as well, perhaps we can try to find a place too. "

You were separated from Kuzuuryuu-san !? I'm so sorry, Pekoyama-san. I think finding him will not be that difficult, maybe he is hiding somewhere !
I promise I will give proper attention to my fellow classmates soon ! Do not think I have forgot about all of you !
Buon Giorno - [Open]
The girl certainly seemed excitable about Giornoâs little show. He hadnât even meant for there to be an audience, but it was too late to worry about that now. So he took it in stride, smiling and nodding as the girl spoke.
âItâs perfectly fine, signorina. Iâm glad you enjoyed it,â he said, giving a short bow. âAnd I think the proper word to describe it is miraculous.â
Of course, all she would have seen was the mouse becoming a flower, and not his Stand. Or at least, that was how it should have been. Did the scientists change that too?
He held the flower out to her, still smiling. âI am Giorno Giovanna. A pleasure to meet you, signorina. I take it you are also a forced resident of Hive City? A very harrowing experience, isnât it? So you must take the lighter moments when you can.â
A small sigh escaped his lips as he glanced down towards the spot where the mouse had been. There was still a small spot of blood on the ground, prompting him to scrape it over with his shoe. He could only wonder what had killed the mouse; perhaps it was another animal, or a careless human. Heâd never know the cause, but it all seemed so senseless.
With another sigh, he turned to face the girl, smiling again. âBut fortune often springs from misfortune. May I ask your name, signorina?â
A nood of slient approvement that contrasted entirely her initial introduction, hand resting behind her back while she slowly walked closer by. There was no other way to describe what the princess saw. At the very end, everyone acted quite welcoming and that only aided Sonia's hope on meeting new people and getting to know them.
"Â I do enjoy the idea of being able to live in a new civilization different from my own. Although I preparated myself to learn more about the japanese living style, I believe this mix of cultures will bring a splendid result. " Certainly, people with special abilities that were beyond her understanding always awoke a new sort of excitement and curiosity that needed to be satisfied. How from the remants of a innocent creature would become into a new living form ? The answer only relied within him.
Both hands taking the flower that was being offered to her, admiring it carefully now that it was closer to her sight. This gift meant more than it could be thought, considering how all of these petals bloomed. All meant to be cherished.
" Grazie mille, Giorno. " Placing it at the top of her head near the black ribbon that held her tresses to make it stay still. Cheeks tinted by a light pink, flattered by the gesture of kindness that was recipocrated with a sweet smile. He was truly a good person ! " And for myself, Sonia Nevermind, it's my biggest pleasure to make your acquaintance. "
" I firmly believe we can learn more about others if we remain in the brighter outlook even though we cannot ignore our position as part of this. I'm sure if we all work together then we might not have to worry a lot, don't you believe so ? I have no problem since I am having a great opportunity to meet more wonderful people. Like you. "

â Not Fit For A King
Hive City.
A place where the inhabitants were all guinea pigs, mere pawns in a game that represented some sort of social experiment. The pieces could move as they pleased, but they were always being watched, and would occasionally be moved against their will as the player saw fit. A somewhat unpleasant existence, as you could always feel the constant feeling of eyes on you from somewhere, in some lab, perhaps on some sort of video screen.Â
This, the experimental chessboard, is where Gundam Tanaka found himself.
Leather boots making a light sound as they hit pavement over and over again, the teenâs eyes alert and sharp as ever as they darted around, examining every inch of the offered expanse of civilization. It had been quite a while since he had set foot in a city, but it certainly wasnât the first time he had been trapped in such a place. It felt like just yesterday he was still stuck on that damnable island, listening to the words of that stuffed animal that had sentenced him and his fellow classmates to a life surrounded by constant death. Not that the death bothered him that muchâŚ.
He wouldnât be surprised if it was yesterday, actually. It was rather difficult to tell time if youâd consider his previous circumstances.
StillâŚ.at least there was quite a large amount of freedom that came with his new living arrangements. Grey and red settled on the large amount of buildings that surrounded him, before turning back to land on the hamsters that had scuttled out of his muffler and crawled onto his shoulders. He held up one hand, and Sun-D scuttled onto his bandaged fingers. A small smile flittered over his face, a sign of relief that his precious companions had been brought along with him, but it disappeared once he was reminded of his situation by someone bumping into him, ramming their shoulder into his, and he had to quickly grab of the tiny creature to prevent it from falling.
A scowl worked itâs way onto Gundamâs face as he watched the retreating back of said person, giving a low growl under his breathe as Sun-D looked up at him and twitched itâs nose.
This was no place for the Future Overlord of the World.
A sort of living plenty knew very well, the same sort of thinking applied despite the location changed for them. Trapped until further notice, yet they were pampered with a place to live, food-- all what a human needed to survive. Why to let the fact there was no way to go back home should bother ? Apparently it should. However, escaping from a possible death game was already a great fortune when such responsibility was taken away from the participants.
A single worry attacked costantly the young woman's mind repeatedly: the well-being of her companions from Jabberwock island. Multiple questions assaulted, all of them concerning the whereabouts of those classmates she was eaget to meet appropiately, allowing a deep bond to nourish over the fact they were together despite the odds against them. It was reassuring to know there was a chance for them to work together out their differences. Of course, those thoughts sometimes took over the princess's mind and she could not focus anymore about her surroundings.
Example ? Now. Face fully stuffing on the coat of a person who was walking in front of Sonia, barely capable to react and stepping back with a quite embarrassed face, both eyes closed for a minimum span of seconds.
" Pardon me, I was not paying attention ! How careless of my part -- " Fixing up the bangs of light blonde hair that became messier and made her incapable to see, flicking them up while a quick bow followed her clumsy action. When raising up her gaze, it was a familiar male figure what she met instead of a civilian she expected not to know.
Emotions taking control over rationality impulsed Sonia to wrap her arms around his torso to pull him in an unwanted hug, not even noticing how she could have included one of the poor and adorable hamsters that were too much of her liking. Not capable to behave when she saw the mysterious-looking breeder and how he was in good conditions. It was a priority to worry about those who she considered closer to her.
" GUNDAM-SAN !!! "
" How fortunate I am, to meet you again and without any harm... "

âIâm sorry for the huge misunderstanding, but I think there must be some kind of mistake. I came here for the same reasons that you did!â
Both hands lifted in front of him in a pleading manner, head slightly shaking back and forth as he slowly stepped away. She was a little frightening when she got angry, huh? It truly was eerie, how much she reminded him of that rare blooded female. Next thing you knew, sheâd be judo flipping him over her shoulder.
Swift feet shifted in order to somehow maneuver around the advancing royalty, trying to slide past here any either direction and escape the admittedly stifling confines of the alleyway.
âI donât even like games, so you can trust me when I say Iâm just playing around here. I was attracted to the blue lights, just like you.â
The catch in her voice was noted, and for a moment he almost thought about dropping away the facade and revealing the truth. But that would just take all the fun out of it. If he had committed this far, he might as well complete the illusion.
How could she even be sure exactly what sheâd seen, anyways? There was no proof, none at all save the fact that he was there. No acrid smell of burning flesh, or smoke stinging their eyes. It was Ogamiâs word against hers, and there wasnât exactly a judge around to arbitrate.Â
âNow can I please get out of here? Iâm rather hungry.â
Who in the world does he thought he was...!? Offended was a light word to explain the kind of emotions the princess had to confront in this very instant, still restraining the urge to slap him or scold his attitude. Even doing both sounded wonderful ! Yet, she remained a few centimeters away from him, maybe scared of the idea of the consequences it would imply. The princess saw it yet he continued playing alongside the fact all of that never happened.
In a blink of an eye there was no sign of that bizarre scene, only the two of them.
Speechless at how irreverent he was, Sonia remained in complete silence until for an instant. She had to keep her head cold, each thought being practical to evade adding more wood to this fire, expecting this anger to be consumated such as that dazzling yet merciless blue flame.
" Everyone is innocent until proven wrong. " Muttering these words behind her breathe, fingers covering her lips when a sigh slipped from them. He was stubborn, more than her and it would not come to a good result if she did not tried enough and let him to leave. Proceeding to puff her cheeks out in own discomfort, side-glancing at the male with a more relaxed expression that almost fell in the description of mere neutrality.
Daring to remember it was awfully irking, perhaps she needed to stop and think. Not like it was needed when so much stress was produced over a simple scene. He wanted to play, correct ? All this foolishness will have a proper answer, even in actions. Then she will be his partner until she can get at the bottom of this. As a future sovereign, fair judgement will be applied as long as she posses the capacity of pursuing her own beliefs.
This was in sake of the future Hinata-kun and everyone else promised to work for.
" ...I get it now. "
" I shall escort you tonight then. I may be nothing in this place but allow me to stay close. It is dangerous to be at this hour, so far it's not that bad to have more company ! "
Why does everyone pick on me
I know you are good, please don't hurt anyone again !
Alright, going to save Giorno and Ogami's replies for tomorrow ! That was pretty productive for this little princess.
Also...Sonia has her eyes on you, Ogami.
Release
The words gave Ogami reason to pause, though he took it all in stride. With his back turned to the future accuser, the Code: Breaker allowed himself a momentary smile. Nostalgic, some might even call it. This entire moment had pulled him back into the past, when a young woman by the name of Sakura had pulled a similar stunt.
Funny, how history seems to repeat itself.
In the seconds that it took him to slowly rise to his feet, Ogamiâs mind was racing through the various options available to him. Once again, eliminating the witness wasnât exactly necessary. Nor was it possible, considering the fact that he had already used up his abilities dealing with both the thugs and that young women. Which meant that he would have to go with option two.
Denying everything.
âOh, you surprised me, miss! I was tying my shoeâŚor is there some law against doing that in this alley? If so, you have my deepest apologies.â
And just like that his cold persona had melted like a snowman in July, leaving behind the cheery and plucky personality that he ordinarily reserved to navigate his high school. What proof did she have, honestly? And who would she even tell?
Huh, that rose an interesting question. Was there even a local law enforcement agency in Hive City? There had to be for the good of their citizens, right? Or did the people that ran this place simply expect them to handle their own problems?
It was definitely something to look into, especially considering his current âprofession.â
âYou really shouldnât be out here on your own, maâam. There are criminal types, afoot.â
Violent..yet peaceful...
What next ocurred left her speechless, any attempt to repeat her question was nullified when a distant voice full of calm replied back with a complete indifference from what happened now. Nerves boiling slowly when each word was pronounced, only to throw aside what she saw like it was something that could be easily brushed away. She may ignore the events entirely but it was what she saw that mattered over all of this. Perhaps she asked for it when she decided to discover the owner of those beautiful yet cruel blue flames.
Nervousness was clear in her demeanor but it never got on the way of the young woman. However, her intention was to not allow him to leave. Beyond her own power to comprehend what her presence could do but it was something she might discover later. This was not the world she expected to see but if there is something she can do then she will not stop.
" Do not take me as a fool that you can play with as you please. I am not here for your amusement. " Offended by the reply, Sonia proceeded to cut the distance between them meanwhile she continued to find the appropiate way to put this conversation in the correct direction.
No need to pretend when everything was so obvious since the beginning. He can leave that terrible facade for another day, lying was unforgivable as well.
" I saw how you ... " Throat feeling dry when trying to pronounce the next words, for a person supposed to be used to that kind of suffering it was not pleasant to mention." I saw how you killed them ...! "
It was him, right? Even if she could not explain how but the owner of the blue flames was the responsible and no one else. It was too much for Sonia to handle. Such attitude has always been an easy target for those with ill intentions, even though she attempted to pursue a role of justice here she was only a powerless girl at the eyes of others.
" How you dare ?! Why you cannot accept what you did ?! "
" Tell me in this very instant why you did such awful thing ! I shall stay with you until there is an answer ! "
Buon Giorno - [Open]
Even in a city of evil, the sun shone just the same as it did back home, thought Giorno.
Hive City was an evil city, wasnât it? People had been kidnapped for some unknown experiment, and even if the city was comfortable enough, it was still evil, surely. After all, those who used power to bring harm upon innocent people were certainly not on the side of good. So yes, despite all outside appearances, it was all definitely evil, he decided.
Giorno strolled through the sector, hands in his pockets and grinding his teeth as he thought of his next move. His plans back home in Italy would have to be put on hold for the time being, and heâd have to find a way out of the city as soon as possible. Maybe find some like-minded people and work with them towards discovering a means of getting back home; surely the city would have some potentially powerful allies-
He stopped mid-step, attention drawn to a small pool of blood on the ground. Kneeling over, Giorno found a mouse on the sidewalk, barely breathing, and bleeding from a wound on its side. It was an insignificant thing, but the sight of the suffering animal only added to the boyâs stress. Sighing, he placed his hand over the dying mouse, and then-
âGold Experience.â
Another being emerged into existence, mirroring its ownerâs movements. After a few moments, Giorno pulled back his hand, the Gold Experience did the same. Where the mouse had been was now a flower, petals bright red like the blood of the mouse had been. He picked it up and rose to his feet again, inhaling the flowerâs scent as Gold Experience faded away again.
And then he noticed that someone had been watching. But the boy only smiled, smelling the flower once more before speaking.
âBuon giorno, amico. Can I help you with something, or are you only going to stare?â
Pointless to dwell over what cannot be fixed, this was a smilar situation lived and it can be almost nostalgic whenever looking at the bright side of the events she had to live in the past. Did she not see everything as a unique opportunity to learn ? Sure it was, she cannot miss such a chance because of any doubt. Sonia had to know more about this city, despite any danger it implied for the princess. It was pointless to don't take any risks ! It would be a whole different story if this was Novoselic. A great adventure awaited and she had to find it herself since no one else would do it in her place.
Streets were more of her liking instead of a simple island. Not like she did not liked it but this place had more places to explore ! Obviously it would be much better if her friends were around too...
Sonia shook her head when tracking her memories back in attempt to evade any that could bring any harm to her optimism and high spirit that should last as long as she stays in Hive City. If she did not have friends right now, why not to create bonds ? Yes, she needs to keep that in mind too !
With a new motivation, the princess wandered looking out for whatever was interesting. It was simple and over all of it-- kind of stupid. It took her a while until she could reach her goal ! Not knowing what it was yet, another forced civilian to live in this place demonstrated their capacities.
Eyes shining in utter awe, both hands clasped together and nodded slightly to reply since she was having trouble on processing what her eyes just saw by a chance of mere luck. Everyone in this place was completely --- GREAT.
Everyone with wonderful abilities that cannot be described by words, all of them special in a very unique way that the world deserved to know. What a shame her excitement was too abrassive since her enchanted smile quickly changed into a frown but there was a voice full of admiration that spoke only the truth. Cleary she had to be more careful when it comes to watch others since her presence did not pass as nothing. Oh, her bad.
" Ah ! Buon giorno ! " So, italian...? A fellow european ! This was a strike of luck.
" That was incredible ! I apologize my staring seemed a tad rude but I could not find any suitable way to describe how amazing it was, I would love to learn more about you ! "
