To be quite honest with you I never saw roleplaying once in my life as a hobby.

Now I’m not some crazy elitist who believes you should post a billion paragraphs to describe the scene, and the thousands shades of brown on a coffee table, but I do think roleplaying is more than just a hobby.

I can see people using it as a writing exercise to flesh out their abilities and ideas for stuff. But It’s certainly not something you’re getting paid for. It’s not an obligation, but that’s wavering into what’s an obligation, and if anything is really an obligation or needed and yaddy yadda. But I digress.

Personally, if that’s what you want to roleplay then so be it. People should RP for a hobby, after all. It’s only a problem if the other person wants more than that and you don’t, but to each their own!
