[Just going to post this clarification now so that people may understand that until they get revealed that the only kind of questions and messages that i will allow to be answered by Pauline are questions that dont involve any sort of magical or fantastical situation or events or have anything mean done toward them (as just going to say it now even if its technicaly a spoiler, the kid has already suffered enough already please dont add more to their internalised suffering) so yeah just putting this clarrification here as to avoid anyone from just... bullying a kid that really doesn't need more torment given to them at least until they get revealed and are able to come and help them]

[I have seen notification of people liking and reposting some of the posts of this blog in my (what the name of the section illustrated by a lightning bolt is called again)/notifications, plus there is at least one other person following this blog alongside you (other than my other account) as of the time of this post being made, plus when i said allow some people to try and come up with what could be in Pauline's nightmares and visions, that included you as well, i had meant that part of my previous message as in letting all readers of this blog have a chance to come up with what sort of nightmares or visions Pauline could be having in her sleep, also i appreciate your choice to help this story be seen by more people of tumblr as its quite a nice thing of you to do (also the reason it took this long to respond to this is because i was unsure of what to even say as i didn't really know how to respond to this with more than a thank you and because i didn't feel like responding to this message would have allowed to fit with the other posts on this askblog, apologies for not responding as quickly as i should have to this message)]

(The trash heap is cold and baren, other than the girl and her blanket there's nothing else to give warmth except the moon, which somehow also held a cold gaze. The stars twinkle brightly, as if sprinkles to a cake-before being blotted out almost completely by the light of the city. Nearby, the phone rattles, a bright light shining from it, illuminating the entire alleyway, and causing some rats to scuttle by...

A cone of even brighter light forms, before it morphs into the shape of three children-those that my fellow narrator will recognize, and can lay out their details as they wish. They then all collapse on the ground in a heap.)

(I know you said no magical stuff, but I just wanted to explain how the kids got there since you said that they will appear after today.)

[I will now mention that New Donk City has a train station (meant to get connected to the warp pipe systems after the events of the movie) that i didn't have a gopd way to reveal the existance of before now and im more than willing to have that train station connect to the world those versions of Bun, Fumu & Honey come from and be how they arrived into New Donk City, as i would prefer avoiding Pauline's sleeping arrangement being discovered by the trio just yet, also the trio would be turned into humans and have their outfits shifted to match the typical clothing style of small country-side villages and farming communities and basicaly give a sort of cottage vibe to the trio by the train having the ability to allow peoplebto turn into another species if they wish to blend in among the locals of where their stop is, also New Donk City doesn't have any lights turned on at night asside from streets lamps that aren't near the alleyway Pauline's dumpster bed is located and clouds are obscuring the moon, plus the phone was litteraly in the trash before Pauline grabbed and fixed it a few hours before the in world start of the blog, also the reason i dont want magical stuff happening near Pauline just yet is because her own magic isn't available to her yet and so until the other one is revealed (as they know how to use magic already unlike Pauline) i wish to avoid magical stuff happening because otherwise there wouldn't be anyone available to use magic to fix any problems it causes, plus having the train destined to be magical be how the trio gets here gives them a way to go back home when needed as well honestly, also i will say it now that im hoping for some people trying their hand at writting what could be in Pauline's nightmares & visions which i would reeritr to fit the swaps that this AU has and make it fit with what Pauline usual has nightmares and visions about, also not writting out the kids introduction as it wouldn't be very fair to not allow you to retry writting it now that you know about New Donk City's train station and what magical abilities it will have in this story]

*Pauline walked up to a rather badly kept building within one of the older districts of the city as she walked... past the door and into the alleyway next to it as she then climbed onto a few boxes that had been placed in a staircase like assortemrnt next to a dumper as upon opening the lid, instead of trash as people would expect a dumpster to countain, there was a pile of blankets and pillow alongside a few books amd comics and some plushies as Pauline then climbed into the dumpster and began preparing herself to sleep within her personaly created hidden bed, as bedtime was one of the few times she felt truly safe while stuck living on the streets of New Donk City, as Pauline then began to hum to herself a lullaby to help herself fall asleep as for another rare moment in her life, Pauline had felt hope for herself once again before wondering once more who her parents could have been and what life could have been like if they had been there for her instead of being nowhere to be found, as upon falling asleep, Pauline's dream began with a weird section with 50 butterflies flying around and forming the words 'thank you' before the dream went into the usual nightmares and bizarre visions she was used to seeing whenever she closes her eyes for the night*

[This isn't a cruel joke or anything like it, its the truth, Pauline is in fact a homeless orphan girl who litteraly sleeps in a dumpster at night, so yeah quite far from the happy homelife Mario was shown having in the movie is it? Also the part regarding the butterflies was just to thank you all for helping this blog reach 50 posts as 50 is a big number, and we aren't even done with the prologue for our story, so who knows how many posts there will be before we get to the end of the first chapter of this story? (The furst chapter being the events of the movie by the way, just im case you needed more precision on what i meant by first chapter) and i hope you will all be there to watch the end of the 1st chapter and how Pauline's journey will go during that chapter of the story and i hope you will all continue to enjoy this story of mine that you are assisting in creating with your questions and messages]

"Of course im fine, as i said you get used to it eventually... sure when i first started having to deal with it back when i became 4 it was very rough to deal with... i eventually got used to it and it definitely doesn't still affects me or caused several damages to my self-esteem to the point of feeling like im undeserving of people caring about me, i promise im fine so please dont worry about me, im fine and i will keep being fine even if i rarely have a way to avoid their... less than enjoyable actions from people just... ignoring my problems when they see them... but i can take it, as i said i had to deal with it for around 10 years now, it doesn't affect me... much... that much... maybe... but i promise im fine and that you dont have to worry about me"

*Pauline was currently doing her best to get Bun & Fumu to not worry about someone who doesn't deserve people worrying about her unaware that it wasn't working as well as she saw that she was just a few steps away from her bed now and so chose to inform the two of this and how she was about to go to bed now to avoid the subject for now, Pauline was tired and needed sleep anyway*

"Your personality doesn't match with those the legends spoke of regarding the Melody Blessed, well unless your doing an amazing job hiding your greedy tendencies and hid the fact that your a princess ruling over an entire kingdom of course, plus all the Melody Blessed are said to be born with their powers so just recently getting those powers dont match with the legends either"

"You get used to it... eventually... and hey its not like the majority of them are like that... most only ignore me and while a big amount of them are like that its a very small percentage of the population in total... and as i said you get used to all the insults, the diminishing of your dreams, the kicking because just pushing you asside isn't enough, the harsh words just for trying to get food for yourself and refusing to let go of the only thing you can afford just because they wanted it themselves and it was the last one in stock---"

*Pauline unknowingly mentions a lot of stuff those bad adults did to her while trying to hide how much their behavior actually affected her mentaly and just trying to get Bun & Fumu to not worry about her due to the belief that she isn't worth worrying about, said beliefs about herself having been unknowingly revealed as she mentioned all the stuff bad adults has done to her as she grew up*

[We are aproaching the moment where Pauline reaches her bed and so cracks into Pauline's attempt at hiding the bad parts of her life are starting to show themselves]

"Melody Blessed are a very old legend of 7 childrens born with great magical powers and destined to bring about grand changes to the world one day, i dont know a lot about it as Mayor Jumpman would be the one to ask for more info about it"

[This response from Pauline is also a callback to when Charles Jumpman explained who the Melody Blessed were hinted at being during the side-story]

"You live in a country-side village dont you? Because no one who lives in a big city would be unaware of how cruel the real world can be... plus i personaly had people even go as far as throwing trash at me to get me to stop singing because of how they didn't like that i was singing in the streets, so i am quite aware that yes there exist people who would get angry at kids for singing in the streets in a good enough amount to be something to worry about for said singing kid, its just that big cities are more likely to have it happen than small country-side villages"

*Pauline only realised she said more than she should have after she had already sent the message to be posted*

*someway, somehow, Pauline knew that even while only being able to interact with the two kids through a screen, she just knew that they were shivering in fear at the mere idea of what Mayor Jumpman could have said on that day*

[I have been answering all the questions Bun & Fumu have been asking as if it had been asked via messages on Pauline's phone and so i will continue to respond as if it was the case until told they are directly near Pauline (which should happen after Pauline wakes uo tomorrow at soonest as she is still walking toward her bed at the moment)]

"I mean many of the legends that Mayor Jumpman uncovered spoke of suoer-powerful magic that can only he unlocked via singing and he even uncovered legends where demons from the deepest parts of hell got killed thanks to the power of a male knight singing with all his heart, so honestly im pretty sure singing is something cool people do with how much singing is shown to look awesome and epic by the people of ancient times, even today i saw very cool and awesome looking people sing from time to time so im pretty sure your ego and reputation would only be made stronger if you started singing from time to time"

"Would you prefer being able to sleep well for the rest of the year or do you really want to know what kimd of threats Mayor Jumpman told the country's president? Because its been 5 years and even people who were soldiers who returned from war still have nightmares about those threats Mayor Jumpman said he would act upon if the country's president didn't accept people of all sexuality, genetic race or gender identity, the least horrid one included breaking the laws of physics to inflic horrid pain that not even the moth cruel of torturer would be comfortable doing to someone, i even heard rumors that death themselves got scared by what Mayor Jumpman threatened to do on thay day, so i will ask again, do you really wish to know what he said or do you want to be able to spend the rest of the year without any problems sleeping bevause of nightnames that appear as soon as you close your eyes"

Why wouldn't people accept different kinds of people? I thought other planets would accept everyone by now! Ugh! Why are some people so horrible!

"Honestly, i doubt its going to stay a problem for long with how Mayor Jumpman gave such terrifying threats that the president of the country is still having nightmares and the rest of the world felt immense dread at the same time the country's president finished hearing Mayor Jumpman's threats, so i think sexualities and gender identities of all kinds wont have to wait for long before the entire world accepts them"
