Announcing the Shuyuka Week Prompts for 2023!!!

We can't wait for you all to join us Oct. 22nd - Oct 28th for a whole week of Shuyuka goodness!

Thank you to Chininiris for providing the graphics again this year and also to 84xl for continuing to allow us to use the ShuYuka art piece in the prompts! Please consider giving these talented folks a follow!

Lastly we'll have a breakdown of the prompts in the readmore below!

This one is rather self explanatory, but your work should ultimately revolve around their first date, the lead up to their first kiss after multiple dates, or even confessions! 👀

You can take this one in an angsty direction following March 5th, or maybe a what if? Possibly, years after having their Memories form/told through time, as long as the core theme of MoY is present your submission will be counted! So many possibilities!

Rooftops can be a location for a date or even a place where these two can find solace and relax, maybe even contemplate feelings? As for the P3P portion, it doesn't have to follow the exact ending, you can be as creative as you'd like to be with it!

This is your chance to revisit the themes from last 3 years of ShuYuka Week! Have fun from the many options available! An original mod (Lia) made the first graphic and Chininiris made the 2021-2022 graphics in this bunch.

Want to celebrate Yukari's birthday on her special day? Maybe headcanon a birthday for Makoto/Kotone? Even feel free to celebrate a specific holiday like to Halloween, Christmas, or whichever you prefer! (Any Holiday is okay!)

This is your chance to experiment with whatever you want! The only thing we ask is that it's ShuYuka focused and that it follows the rules in our prompts post! Aside from that, you're free to create whatever idea you may have!

Think post game! Maybe tackle The Answer, take a reincarnation aspect and have them start over, or even have them start a new life together! Like with most of the themes as long as the vague idea of it is there, you'll be counted!

Shuyuka Week 2023 Comes to a close!

i did birthday with yukari giving a crab plushie to makoto. she probably noticed him paying attention to the crabs at the beach. its a late birthday cause i headcanon makoto birthday as july 13, the release date for p3 and they only start getting closer after that date.

Posting this very late but I like to think they would go to the dorm rooftop to get some alone time together. I also like to think that Makoto wouldn't let just anyone hear his mp3, so he sharing music like this is a very intimate moment.

For now I will be skipping day 4 and work on day 5, will work on day 4 after the week.

Do you ever pose 3D models to render them as a 2D image, just to take said 2D image and put it on a 3D environment to render it as a 2D pic once again?

I headcanon that during the time Aigis & Yukari were roomates Aigis would summon Orpheus & they just. Kinda use it as ouija board to see if the protag is doing fine

Shuyuka Week Day 2!

So many memories with this pairing and so little time they got spent together… or maybe a future perhaps? 👀

A few thoughts on yukari I wanted to write down.

Some people say yukari is very mean to junpei and while yes she does bicker with him a lot it never felt mean spirited. The way they behave always makes me think they act like siblings annoying each other most of the time.

They annoy each other but neither take it seriously, except the one time in the story yukari tried to do the same "are you scared?" junpei did before to try to cheer him up and it backfired and yet it's clear it was never her intention to make fun of him she was just trying to do what they always do to make the situation less serious. It's nice instances like this happens in p3 where characters take the wrong approach to a situation it's what makes them so human.

In arena yukari is the one who warns junpei about what is going on and tells him to go to inaba and he goes right away. And during the events we can see them annoying each other to make the situation less serious. So to me they are close friends that just like annoying each other.

Pretty sure both yukari and junpei would jump to defend each other if someone was being actually mean to the other. A fun fact is that in the official design works it's stated junpei is into fashion so I can imagine them talking about that.

Another point is the need for charm to be maxed so she even thinks about giving Makoto a chance. Saw people saying she may not want to be seen with someone who isn't her level but I don't think that's the issue here.

We need to consider that you can only start her social link after yakushima trip, after she opens up to Makoto at the beach and he comforts her. Before that, she shots down any attempt of him being flirty with her. She is keeping her distance like she does with everyone else. She is hesitant to get closer to him due to her family issues even though she feels a connection to him.

I think charm being maxed is just what makes her put down her walls and talk to him. As I like to believe with charm maxed and the amount of time passed he seems more approachable than at the start.

Also love how junpei reacts if Makoto says he is interested in yukari. He is just like "I knew it!" like he was definitely shipping them the whole year.

Coming up this October 22nd through the 28th we'll be celebrating so make sure to check the announcement post for prompts and more if you haven't already and would like to participate!

Let me talk about my favorite characters from p3

I like how basically since the start of the game Makoto has some flirty options when talking to Yukari, which she dismisses lol.

I like to think he had a crush on her since the start that slowly evolves to something more. After all he hugs her without any player prompt during yakushima trip. I like to think that it means it was on impulse. And that his hug is awkward cause is definitely not used to do that.

her social link also feels like it progresses so natural, its like feels like neither of them needs to say they are dating and yukari seems to only say she loves makoto at her social link final rank. i just find cute how they dont seem to have to spell out, they just know they are together, it just comes naturally for them.

Meanwhile it's clear yukari has issues connecting to people. She is popular at school but still keep a distance from everyone, especially boys.

That is both a barrier and a mask. A mask cause she will do things like lie about being bad at cooking and cooking hidden from others. And not talk about her family, she doesn't others to know about her situation, ask her questions or pity her. She wants to fit in but at the same time she cant connect to them, she is jealous of others cause they have something she lost a long time ago and yet constantly complain about it. Kinda why even though she clearly has friends i doubt any of them are very close or know her too well. Especially since she seemed very surprised when kotone first says they are friends, saying "friend? oh you are talking about me" and doesnt know how to answer.

Before Makoto or Kotone appear probably the only people she knew that had similar situations was Junpei and Mitsuru, and we know how rocky her relationship with Mitsuru is at first. I honesty don't think either Mitsuru or Akihiko tried to connect with her at first. Junpei is probably the closest thing she had to a close friend and yet she still had her barriers up.

It's also a barrier cause she doesn't want people to know all the problems she has. She also seems insecure about those as she comments in her social link with Makoto that he probably regrets being with a girl with so many problems. And then we have her distancing herself from boys, definitely due to her mother situation. Only after yakushima she gives a chance to actually approach Makoto even though he was the first person she actually felt she could connect with takes her a long time to open up with him.

This is very different with Kotone, as they get closer very fast cause Kotone is a girl, so yukari doesn't put distance from her. In a way they are very similar both keeping masks of their own. the difference being yukari drops hers fast when she opens up with either makoto or kotone, she doesnt need to hide her family story and past trauma, she feels like she can tell them.

Menwhile its clear kotone has a mask on most of the time, her cheerfulness is basically that, while Makoto became apathetic to others at first having issues connecting to people, kotone created a mask to hide her true feelings, honestly i think kotone is as depressed as makoto, she just doesnt show.

Honestly i interpret yukari as being bi due to her interaction with Kotone ( and atlus are cowards for not making Kotone hug yukari). i find incredibly telling how she says she wont look for a boyfriend cause she wants to spend more time with kotone, and that no one catches her eye.
