Would you mind giving your thoughts on edible straws?

Good for healthy and able-bodied people without allergies who can use them if they want to cut down on their own plastic consumption, but not an adequate replacement for plastic disposable ones for people with allergies and other disabilities that require greater flexibility and structural integrity.

To everyone who will inevitably hop into the notes and ask: “But what about-” No, None of them are as versatile and ideal as single-use plastics. None of them. Here’s a handy chart as to their respective failings:

Single-use plastic straws are NOT the cause of environmental destruction. Commercial fishing and construction waste are.
