I’ll split my response to this post into three parts: my response to the post itself, a tip on how to comply with the request, and my thoughts on a certain genre of post.
Anyone not willing to remove your posts is an exploitative creep of the highest order. That said, I think there is a step missing in your request. You have asked:
Everyone with your posts, please remove them.
For those that don’t, you will report them.
The thing is, I think this overlooks the fact that a lot of people might have reblogs of your post, but have thousands of posts and no idea where to find them. So I think your steps could easily be:
Everyone with your posts, please remove them.
Contact those with your posts, supply a link, and ask them to remove them.
For those that don’t, you will report them.
I think the vast majority of people would be more than happy to remove posts as your request, and those that don’t are creeps who deserve to be reported (and have their blogs removed, depending how tumblr responds).
If you’re going through to find the links to report them, it’s easy enough to contact the tumblrs with those links and save them the distress of handling reports.
Also anyone who refuses deserves to be put on blast so we all know what kind of creep they are, but I can understand why you wouldnt want to do that - if you want your posts removed, you probably don’t want extra attention being drawn to them.
2. How to Find and Remove Posts
So, to anyone else reading, if you want to find posts on your blog, go to google.com, and put this string in the search box
queendancingstars site:YOURBLOG.tumblr.com
Replace YOURBLOG with your tumblr name. For me that would be
queendancingstars site:sleepwithgiggli.tumblr.com
That has a good chance of returning any posts on your tumblr, and you’ll be able to click through and get to the edit/delete interface.
3. Finally, thoughts about a certain genre of hypno-post
I don’t think i have any of the posts mentioned on my blog, because they belong to a genre of post that has always made me uncomfortable, so I don’t reblog them. It’s always a cis male hypnotist, posting pretty cis female girls, in slightly compromising positions, and those girls often later quietly delete their blogs and vanish from the scene but their posts - which might now be non-consensual - are still floating around.
So I’d ask anyone who does reblog these kind of posts in the future put a unique tag on the posts, so you can easily find them again (a different tag for each girl). Then if that girl vanishes from tumblr, you can go through your blog and quickly and easily delete them.
