Fanart for @shylikethat !!! I recently discovered their fanfic and oh my god I'm in love.

I don't think the characters ever really got in depth descriptions of their appearances so I went a little wild with the design. Honestly I imagine Kusuo dressing like some evil shadow demon lord. Also I love round glasses.

Oh and the panalyze stone! For some reason, since the first time it popped up in a chapter, I imagined it to have the appearance of a peridot. Idk why, but some other green gemstone like the emerald didn't feel right.

Well that's enough for my yap sesh, I'm currently at chapter 16 and I gotta get back to reading :D

am i the only one who felt cheated after firefly wedding? bc wtf was that ending 🫩 i understand wanting to have a tidy ending, but what is with the time skip? i felt like there could’ve been more things fleshed out instead of all the battles?? i mean don’t get me wrong, i love seeing shinpei yandere it up, but what was the ending supposed to convey?? so many things brushed under the rug.

Hey, I found you via your ao3 account and can I just say: you're one of the only writers I've seen make Saiki's character as convincing as possible. I LOVEEE the way you write your saiteru it's so angsty. I've been following All Routes Lead to Trouble, which kinda led me to your more recent fic. I am in love with your style of writing and the storylines you come up with. They are so interesting and I'm always waiting for you to post more SaiTeru. maybe i might get stoned but i ended up dnfing babel by r. f. kuang. the prose is very lovely and the themes of the book are so important, but i dunno i just found it very forced sometimes and there came a point where it became very laborious to read.

i read some other reviews where people found the book felt more like a dissertation than an actual fictional book with its own world-building, and i have to say that i agree. there are moments in the book where certain scenes are there and it’s like you know why they’re supposed to be there—it’s almost like there’s a sign saying “this is what you’re supposed to be learning from this scene.”

i wanted to love it and had already read more than 50% of the book, but with the limited time i have i couldn’t keep force-reading my way through the rest.

i did enjoy the poppy war though and found that more engaging, so maybe dark academia just isn’t my thing? maybe i’ll pick it back up again and see.
