Yes, you're right, I am better than flashing to get what I want. Flashing someone to get something isn't even clever. Using your words and charm? Now that's clever. {Grins proudly} Good, because it took work to get Vitani to leave the room for the night and stay with someone else. {Takes his hand and sits down on the blanket, opening the takeout boxes and handing him the champagne} You open that.

Todd: I feel that too. Oh he showed up and was ajerk and said he knew me and all this stuff. Shoved losing you in my face, too. So I wasn't very polite to him. Felt good though. Why not? I do.

Todd: Or...we could try my mom's house for Thanksgiving.

Todd: You have a thing for coasts huh? I like either of those.

Am: Oh, yeah he's a dick.

Am: She'd be okay with that? You'd want to? I mean, I'd love to, honestly...

Am: I guess I do. I'm not so into places like Kentucky.

Todd: You. But I'm confident she plays dirty. So watch out. Yeah that wasn't the worst meet your parents ever. Better than when I met your dad. Reeallly.

Todd: Anywhere you want. As long as I'm with you.

Am: I feel like redheads like her are psychopaths when they fight. Won't know until I experience that fight, though. What happened when you met my dad? My mom said we're welcome to go back to Italy for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Not sure how much I want to do that.

Am: California... Or maybe New York.

Todd: You know she will though. Oh yeah, I forgot. Screw working, let's live off your parents and live like celebrities forever.

Todd: I know. It'll happen. How about this. The day after you graduate we'll take off. Anywhere.

Todd: I'll work and save up until then. Then we can get a tiny apartment somewhere that allows pets and start our lives.

Am: Who would win in a fight, me or her? My mother loved you. As long as I was living with you she'd buy us a fucking mansion.

Am: Anywhere?

Todd : That's better than what I was thinking. Actually why not?

Todd: I could get a job. Save up. Maybe a lot of jobs. We could do it.

Am: If she initiates something I'm not responsible for my reaction.

Am: I could get money from my parents too.

Am: I just want to live somewhere with you. Somewhere that isn't here.

Todd checked his car over again and briskly jog/skipped back to the dorm building. He leapt up the stairs and knocked lightly against Amory’s door. “Hey. I hope you’re not busy. I’m here to whisk you aw-” Todd chuckled happily as the little ball of fluff rubbed against his leg. “Kitty! Hello little kitty.” Todd swept kitty up and held her against his chest. “How are ya? I missed you.” He scratched under her chin, a huge smile spread across his face. “I bet you missed me.” He sat down on the bed, cuddling kitty up like a baby. It took Todd a long time to remember that he had come for something. “Oh yeah. come here.” He set kitty down on the end of the bed and pulled Amory to him. He kissed her, holding her close and simply enjoying being there with her. “You feel like a drive?”

Todd maneuvered through the parking lot balancing the square pizza box in one hand and a thing of soda in the other. He somehow managed to open the back door and set the stuff down. He sighed, crawling back into the driver’s seat and starting the engine back up. “That was the last stop.”

He took the back road, his favorite way of getting anywhere, held Amory’s hand with his right hand the whole way. Now that he had her again, now that his greatest want had somehow happened, he was determined to show her every second they were together how much she truly meant to him. He pulled off the road after awhile and parked over looking the water. He backed his car in and went to work getting out the food and other things he had brought. “Okay. So I’m awful and predictable. I know.” He crawled up onto the back of his car and pulled her into his arms, holding her tight and looking out at the view. He laughed at himself and kissed her cheek. “Spontaneous yet predictable. Still. I thought we could both use the little escape.” He sighed happily, closing his eyes and soaking up the sun as his fingers stroked her arms gently. “I was thinking next time there’s a break in school we can take a real trip. Maybe Thanksgiving? Hell, Halloween if we can swing it. Say its a religious thing or something.” He opened his eyes and looked at her sweetly. “i just want to get away with you. Plus, i wanna take you to the zoo.” He grinned. “I think you would enjoy that actually. We can even get matching hats with like, foam elephants or tigers or something on them.”

Another care package from Am's mother and stepfather had made it's way to DP. Among all the goods there were several magazines that Am had begun to work through. As she flipped through the latest issue of Cosmo, her attention was drawn towards the door where Todd was now entering. A smile immediately appeared on her face as she shut the magazine. Watching as he played with Kitty, Am tossed the magazine onto her desk, satisfied once Todd's attention was directed to her. Returning the kiss, she nodded, eager to get out of her room for a long overdue outing with him. 

She didn't mind the stops he was making, especially when one of the stops included food. There was no arguing a box of pizza. Am loved these spontaneous trips Todd planned for the two of them, and though he called them predictable, Am cherished every one of them. Sitting on the back on his car in his arms, Am looked out at the water, relaxed in his embrace. Everything was perfect in her life as of now. She was with the person she was meant to be with, the person she loved. As he started speaking of a trip, her mind wandered to all the possibilities of where they could go. Am grinned wide, looking up at him. 

"I don't think Halloween counts as a religious occasion, babe." She continued to grin, pecking his lips with a quick kiss. "But, that doesn't mean I'm opposed to leaving somewhere. Let's get a cabin somewhere... You know, where the leaves are changing and the temperature is cool. We can go to those zoos that go all out for fall. With corn mazes and pumpkins." Just talking about it made Am feel like a child, but it didn't matter. She was happiest with Todd, and simply speaking and imagining where they would go made her smile.

Todd: You were just waiting for me to ask.

Am: Not yet. Give it a week. Yep, caught me. Let's just leave this dump and get an apartment together somewhere.

Am: Preferably now.

Todd: Perfect. Not only are you in a different building, you're roomed with Vitani too. Looks like we'll be spending a lot of time in my room. Which is clean and roommate free, by the way.

Am: I had a proper introduction with her yesterday. Needless to say we're both just thrilled to be roomed with each other. Yeah, I might just live in your room on the weekends or something. Or every night.

Depends on what your priorities are... I mean there's the routine finding your room, finding where the kitchens and cafeteria are, necessities. But there's more to the place if you explore a little.
