If there were no night, we would not appreciate the day, nor could we see the stars and the vastness of the heavens. We must partake of the bitter with the sweet. There is a divine purpose in the adversities we encounter every day. They prepare, they purge, they purify, and thus they bless.

I've been listening to Black Hole Sun on repeat. Do dead people move you more than the same people when they are alive? Am I revisiting his tracks because his death was also a silent reminder? In his case, I don't think so. My affair with his unmistakable raspy voice goes all the way back to his Temple of the Dog days. There was this one song - REACH DOWN - which was about 11 minutes long. That song had a really groovy hook and a great breakdown. Then was this famous opening track Hunger Strike as well. With that album Chris came in the limelight and they were put into the grunge basket. I think grunge got the best of them, they thought otherwise. I tried infusing various elements in this double expo edit such as the dog placed at the temple and the audioslave flame logo on the cheek. You can notice an image of a park with some mechanical structures on the jacket's right side - that's from Soundgarden Seattle - the place from where Chris's most ground breaking band got its name. He was to me what Beatles were to the 60s and 70s. His songs got me into English rock. Infact, my first drum cover was In the End. If I see a cassette, I imagine the flag bearing red trooper from the album art of Hybrid Theory. More so, my first animated video was Points Of Authority which was a frequent on Cartoon Network. Before Limbizkit, I was hooked to Reanimation - LPs third album with rap styles fused so beautifully with rock. I still find myself revisiting their first three albums. The ended up experimenting so much through their discography - a move only such bands can pull who are well aligned with their fans. If only he realised what he meant to a whole generation while he belted out relentless vocals fueled with angst, depression, and hurt.
