For Lia's case everything were getting worse. After recovering from a car accident, her ears started to be deaf from all kinds of sounds, affecting her tongue and eventually, loosing her golden voice. She was scared to death, but what it fears her more was the pain of loosing her dream in just one snap. She wanted to be a famous singer but life is too cruel for her to achieve the only desire of her heart.
The wound is getting deeper as her long time boyfriend decided to broke up with her. He was her only hope but then he chose to left her. What is life if the reasons for living are all gone? Why choose to fight if you just lost from the start? How could you continue your journey if the road was on it's dead end?
Her family decided to sent her back home. Gone was the cheerful Lia, the one who went was like a walking corpse. Her mother decided to bring her to see a psychologist thinking that Lia was just mentally ill, but she was not getting any better. She was the one who first gave up in life, sessions of medication are all worthless for she didn't found any reason to be healed anymore.
One day, Lia couldn't take it anymore, she went outside hoping to die in a car crash. Walking down on the streets, she noticed something different. Something like a small spark that lit up the fire from her heart. It was just a simple painting of a wilted rose struggling from a storm and having nothing to shield on but still enduring, still rooting in the ground despite of loosing leaves and petals.
She walk closer to the painting, and the artist gave him a warm smile. The painter took a small paper and write something on it.
'Do you like the painting? Sorry I am a deaf and mute person so I can't speak through my voice.'
Tears flowed from Lia's eyes as soon as she saw the message from the painter. How could he gave such a warm smile to her that it feels like she was receiving a tight hug from a very special person? And as Lia finally walks home, she was determined to learn sign language. The next day she asked the painter if he could teach her about it.
The painter's name is Luke, he was a native signer, as soon as he was born he can't hear any sounds. He was a good looking guy but he just can't find the right lady who can accept him completely. He may sad about it but that doesn't diminish his hopes in life.
From the simple greetings down to learning how to communicate skillfully, Lia was very passionate in learning. It was her new hope that makes her keep on moving. It was her anchor to be more firm and fight the fine fight of life. And besides she has a very patient and handsome sign language teacher. The two became closer and they developed a deep attachment to each other.
In the midst of an almost dead end road, Lia finally found a detour. And as if Luke's love is a miracle, Lia's became a lively red rose again. She found herself healing on painting and expressing through sign language.
They are not the perfect couple but they manage to communicate well and forgive the shortcomings of each other.
But sometimes even you took the different path you still ended up with the same destination. Lia's hearing impairment was a temporary one. Her family was very thankful to Luke but they didn't want Lia to be ended up with him. They want to send Lia back and still pursue the singing career. Lia couldn't be more happy as everything went back to normal.
Luke on the other hand, even he wanted her to stay, he just love her too much that even he was disabled, he will fight for Lia but he can't force her, if Lia was not happy anymore with Luke.
Lia feel empty as she was back on her track. Her ex boyfriend even beg to have her again. She once thought that if everything will return on it's place she will be truly glad. But something is really off. She was truly missing the painter.
She can't have the two paths. But even the world can't understand her. She know really much that the true happiness lies on the moment you find the one who will stick during your dark times. Yes, even her family and friends was against it, she came back to Luke, the one who truly save her from dying because of the pain brought her by the cruel world.
