Being happy doesn't always make us grateful, but being grateful will always make us happy. Be grateful today, friends.
Advent with Stu g Day 7
Today I want to share with you a song I’ve written in the last month called King Of The Stars.
For most of us Christmas is a time that we really look forward to. A time to be with family and enjoy each other. For some it’s a time when they are reminded of sadness and loss.
I was on the phone with a really dear friend a few weeks ago, and he said “I’ve got something to tell you. My wife’s left me!” I was stunned…didn’t see that coming! I was at a loss for words of comfort and it troubled me for days. I put my thoughts in this song.
The longer I’m alive, I’m aware that we all have a story and we all have baggage that we need help to carry or let go of. This has made me less judgemental and more compassionate.
I heard someone say that wherever there is change of any kind in your life it comes with an element of grief. Different levels for different circumstances, but grief is always there one way or another.
If you are grieving or have a sense of loss this advent, this song is dedicated to you.
I’ve also heard that if the only prayer you can pray is “thank you!” or “help!” it’s enough. This song is a prayer for help.
I need it, you need it, my friend needs it.
I love watching my son Ethan whenever he's worshiping in church. I remember carrying him in my arms as a baby as we worship together in church, and I'm glad to see him passionately worshiping Jesus at the age of 6. I'm a proud daddy :)
Hillsong Conference 2011 & Hope UC
Dear friends, I'll be on the 'Worship Leaders & Songwriters Forum' w/ Joel Houston, Reuben Morgan, Darlene Z., Kim Smith of Jesus Culture, Israel Houghton & Peter Wilson (Hillsong London) on Thursday July 7th, then lead worship w/ Israel H. & Darlene Zschech on Thursday nite "Late Session Worship Encounter" at Hillsong Conference 2011 in Sydney, Australia. Then on Sunday July 10th I will lead worship at Hope Unlimited Church (Ps Mark & Darlene Zschech) in Central Coast, Australia. Your prayers are GREATLY APPRECIATED friends. Let our King be lifted up! ~Sidney
It's been a year since I've uploaded any covers. I apologize, it's been a hectic year indeed. But tonite I had some time and decided to do one of my favorite Coldplay song "Fix You". This time I decided to cover it with my own rendition of the song with my piano. Now please excuse me, because I'm not musically trained (I learned how to play guitar and piano myself), so I'm not the greatest piano player. But I decided to give it a shot. Love the melody and lyric, and I hope you enjoy this cover too!

ADA LANGIT BIRU (music & lyric by Sidney Mohede)
Disaat hujan turun membasahi
Dan badai datang untuk membanjiri
Ku aman berada disisiMu
Meskipun ku tau semua kan berlalu
Disaat ku terapung di lautan
Kau yakinkan ku kita tak akan berpisah
Ku tau Engkaulah sahabatku
Walaupun waktu pun kan berlaju
Ku memandang ke awan
Ku yakin Kau bersamaku
Dan tak pernah tinggalkanku
Walau ku tersesat
Ku yakin Kau menuntunku
Selama masih ada langit biru
Setiap kata yg tak pernah terucap
Dan penyesalan yg tak pernah berubah
Ku bawa saat ku bentang sayapku
Menatap hidup yg ada didepanku
*Brand New Video* ~"TIBA SAATNYA" from 'Louder Than Life', the clip edited from Sidney Mohede's recent 'LTL Manado' in April, with over 42,000 people in attendance for the worship night in Manado, North Sulawesi (breaking record attendance for a solo Christian concert in Indonesia). Hope you're blessed by the clip, shot and edited by @MarthinFort. TAG AND SHARE the video to your friends! Be blessed and keep shining!
Friends, take time to watch this. My dear friend Marthin (@MarthinFort) asked a simple question to children at a Christian orphanage, "Who is Jesus to you?" one day before Easter . Their answers moved me deeply. Hope you are as blessed by this video as I am.
Had an incredible songwriting session at EMI CMG studio in Franklin, Tennessee with Mia Fieldes (follow her on Twitter: @MiaFieldes) We wrote a little beauty of a song called 'It Is Done'. Asked Mia if she could say hi to all the friends in Indonesia and here she is! Mia Fieldes is one of the best songwriters in Christian praise and worship music and she wrote one of my favorite song, 'Saviour King' from Hillsong. She is now living in the United States as a songwriter for EMI CMG. Can't wait for you guys to hear our song in my upcoming project 'The Rescue'.
Today is Ethan and Chelsea's day off, tomorrow they're receiving their report card and have a 'mini concert' at their school. Before I left for office, I played with them and had a great laugh acting like a narrator in a book with them as the Prince and Princess (you just had to be there to understand! Haha) Always a great time laughing with my kids. Before I left for work, this is their smiles for me. Chelsea posing on the front lawn and Ethan hugging my legs. Perfect moments captures. I'm a grateful daddy :)
After Seattle, I flew to Los Angeles to meet some of my good buddies from Cottonwood Church, Paco and Amador, as they're about to produce the church's live recording in the summer. We had a great time talking about production and preparation while munching on our chicken and waffles at the famous Roscoe's! Haha, it was a good meal and chat indeed. From Los Angeles, I flew to Nashville, Tennessee, the amazing music city USA. I can feel the vibe even as I stepped on to the airport. Seems like music is just the DNA of the city. Had an amazing experience writing songs at EMI CMG studio with great writers like Robin Ghosh and the gifted Mia Fieldes (who wrote several unforgettable Hillsongs favorite such as 'Saviour King' among many others). I even managed to hang out with my friend Stu G (former guitarist/songwriter of Delirious) while he was recording for a project with Andy Cherry and super producer/songwriter Jason Ingram (who together with Reuben Morgan wrote 'Forever Reign'). It was memorable and learning experience for me to be in Nashville and spending time with these great people. Next stop, New York!
Los Angeles, it's where I grew up for many years since I was a boy. It's always nice to just come back, even for only one day. So many memories floods back every time I'm here. I miss the moments spent here, more than the place. See you soon LA, I'll come and visit again.
One of my heroes in my Christian walk is Ps Casey Treat. I read his book 'Renewing the Mind' many years ago and it changed my life and my ministry. He's a great pastor, teacher, husband and father. What an honor it is for me to be leading worship at his church in Seattle, Christian Faith Center. Truly honored.
Powerful anointing! RT @JeffreyRachmat: http://plixi.com/p/83384697 Bishop TD Jakes preached like no other. What a revelation!
Here are photo set number 2 from my trip so far to Seattle, leading worship for Vision 2011 Conference. What an honor and privilege to lift Jesus name higher!
