skyler-the-wizardâ:
Yo ho, Sienna! Letâs go far away || Skyenna
Skyler happily stomped through the jungle, not having much trouble stepping between the small ferns and tall trees. He took in the colours of bright green, red, purple, and the smell of salt and the dampness that often came with humid jungles. Well, that Skyler imagined would be often. Though it was his first time on such an adventure, he felt as if he had been through it a million times before. He spotted a small stream of what seemed to be fresh water, likely heading down toward the sea. Maybe there was a lake or a bigger stream up ahead. Sienna suddenly picked something up and turned to him.Â
âHah, that is weird,â he said as he took it from her tried it himself. The leaves really did match up with his hands, though a little bigger in width. He wondered how it was blue, not many natural things were blue except the sky and ocean. But then purple cabbage exists and not many things are purple either. He tossed the leaf back into the stream to let it continue its journey back to the ocean. âYeah, letâs see where itâs coming from! Itâll be good to know where we can get some more water if we need it.â Skyler led the way as he tried to navigate himself between the stream and the cluster of large boulders. They were now walking on sizable stones and he kept a close watch on where he stepped. The gap between water and boulders became narrow and he tried hopping over the stream, slipping slightly on his landing. âWoah careful! Itâs a bit slippery!â he laughed as he called back to Sienna.Â
He continued to trudge up hill alongside the stream. Maybe Skyler was imagining it but he couldâve sworn the water was rushing faster and thicker. They mustâve been getting close to something. Pushing through some overhanging vines and branches, he stepped into a clearing. A pool of water that glistened in the spotted sunlight appeared before him, with small waterfalls falling into it and tiny streams stretching out of it. It was a beautiful sight but not what caught Skylerâs attention at all. He hardly noticed the beauty of the scene, the tranquility of the whole place, the refreshing breeze filtering through the trees. No, what he couldnât tear his eyes away from was a glittering, watery humanoid standing out of the water. They had a feminine figure with what looked to be a dewy cape of sparkling liquid and a dress of leaves and wildflowers. Their body was a translucent blue, the same exact colour as the water they stood in. It was a marvel to see as it moved in a graceful yet erratic way.
âÎÏÎč! λΏΞοÏ!â it said while tossing a blue hand-shaped leaf into the water. â λαΜΞαÏÎŒÎÎœÎżÏ! ÎłÎčαÏÎŻ Î”ÎŻÎœÎ±Îč ÎŽÏÏÎșολο Î±Ï ÏÏ;â It slumped down on the side of the pool, revealing a bluish humanoid-shaped plant. The trunks grew separate and then joined into two legs, the torso was covered in leaves, branches grew out to the sides and curved like arms. The head⊠well it looked like a lumpy, wooden approximation of a head with long leaves growing from the crown. Skyler wasnât sure what was going on but he knew that water lady seemed very distraught.Â
Sienna struggled through the tangle of branches, it was moments like this that reminded her that she was out of her element. She broke through the tree line into the clearing and straight into Skylerâs back.Â
âOof!â she grunted staggering back. For a girl Skyler was so solid. âWhy did you stop?â She peered around the wizard and took in the forest pool. The light breeze lifted a few strands of hair around her face and her lingering unease grew. The translucent blue figure was beautiful but set every nerve in Siennaâs body on edge.
Her foreign words hung in the air as she slumped into the pool. Sienna couldnât understand their meaning, but their sound was so familiar. She looked to Skyler. âDo you know what she said?â
Sienna approached the glittering blue pool and placed her hand on the surface of it. She frowned. It felt like water, but at the same time it didnât. It was tainted with something. Perhaps that grotesque tree was corrupting the water. âSomething is very wrong with this island. Can you feel it? Iâm not sure we should be resupplying from here.â
