Fashion Drawing 2
Since I’ve finished my studies at VIA DESIGN, i’ve tried to keep myself in the creative corner and made some fashion drawings. I think its important to maintain your skills and keep on developing your style in drawing and aesthetics.

FINAL EXAM // ACNE STUDIOS
A small sample from my final project, where I made my project about Swedish Acne Studios.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the fashion brand Acne Studios. After investigating the brand and looking on our society, there has been raised questions about our society norms, how we use clothes to identify our personality how and how Acne Studios can design a new collection that takes inspiration from the gender norms. This problem will be examined through the use of deck research, analysis and design ideation. The analysis’ will investigate how we use clothes to reflect our personality, gender norms and the design DNA of Acne Studios. After the investigations were made, it can be concluded that Acne Studios is a modern scandinavian fashion brand, with focus on good quality and the brand doesn't get dictated by trend forecast, but do things their way. After the analysis were made and after working with the gender norms in society and identity and getting the result of typical gender stereotypes, the ready-to-wear fall16 collection got to be inspired by the theme 50’s sport. There has been made 5 prototypes from the collection and there after a photoshoot to show the true aesthetics of the clothes and the brand.
This was a very hard and at the same time awesome project. Hard because I wanted it to be perfect and always make sure to remember everything and don't make anything last minute. Here’s a list of just some of the things I had to make:
Paper ( 20+ pages) Sketchbook - Collection themes - DNA - Mood boards - Print design and research - 3D collage - 2D collage - construction of deconstruction - sketching - Lookbook research
Salesbook - 21 styles - print overview - style overview - line up + material and trim hanger
Lookbook
Construct and sew 5 styles
The project was awesome because I was my own boss and it was nice to be in charge of my own time and I could form this project whenever I liked - it’s not every day you get an opportunity like this.
INTERN AT WON HUNDRED
2015 started out pretty wild for me. I had the final part of my first year exam - it went well and I got a 12 (A) This project finished on a friday, then it was home packing, saying goodbye to Herning and then I was off to Copenhagen to start as an intern at Won Hundred. I was there for 9 weeks and today I almost can't believe how much I learned these weeks. Not only about the business and the job as a design assistant, but I also learned a lot about myself and my personal limits. Besides being the best intern I could be, I also had to make an assignment about Won Hundred and my experiences - for this I also got a 12 (A) The first three pictures are from my project and the last three are of a menswear sandal I designed and apparently they haven't made any changes since I left - which is pretty cool in my opinion.
DRESS PROJECT
The title says it all - a project about dresses with focus on design process, lineup and construction.
BRAND ID

Photos from the last project at 1. semester. In this project we were divided into groups of 6 people and we had to choose a brand (that didn’t make clothes) and then design something for the brand and find the brand DNA. We worked with the beer brand “Tuborg” and made this raincoat for festivals. This was my first serious sewing project and I'm quit satisfied with the result, despite all the mistakes I can see today. But you have to start somewhere I guess?
Fashion Drawing 1
So....i've got an AMAZING christmas/birthday gift from my sweet mom. A WACOM intous pen and touch! Therefore i've been practicing my photoshop- and fashion drawing skills. Seriously, it's like a whole new world for my and suddenly there are all sorts of new opportunities! Cant wait to make some more drawings and improve my skills. There is still a long way for me, but I had to start somewhere :) xoxo sjoervadDesign
Collection 1
This picture is from my first project at the 2. Semester. I had to design a skirt for the brand "Oh Seven Days" by using the Design-DNA analysis. We also had to create a pattern for the skirt and sew it on the schools machines.
Furthermore we had to make sales materials with a small AW15 collection (10-15 styles), a photoshoot with the skirt, material chart for the mini collection, color barcode, fashion drawings and so on.... It was a lot of work - but I got a very good result, so it´s clear that hard work pays of!
I've been practicing my photoshop skills - our homework was to make a collage with a ss 15 trend. Here is the result.
ART and FORM project at 2. semester
A very exciting and kind of difficult project. We went to a wonderful museum next to our school. They had an exhibition named "CLASH" - and of course it was about fashion and style. I selected a piece by Rikke Fausing as my inspiration and later created my own work; Tangled knot.
The thoughts behind Rikke Fausings piece was the consumers big consumption. I thought about this and transferred it into my piece, by making many opportunities with the look. You can knot the "strings" anyway you want - braid it, weave it - in the front, on the back. And that kind of the point with the piece - making different opportunities with your clothes, so you don't have to buy and buy and have beautiful dresses that you only uses once. Be creative and be unique.
It should also be mentioned that we were only allowed to use single jersey, double jersey and isoli - part of the project was also to explore the oppertunities when using knitted fabrics.
My results from Type- and Image styling. I had to make an editorial and my inspiration was punk - so my editorial was of course named "Pretty in Punk". I was very fascinated by the individuality and raw appearance the punks had. To make the editorial more fashionable and up to date I added a lot of beautiful jewelry, which also made a interesting contrast to the overall chunky look. I took the pictures and was in charge of the styling. Model: Astrid Agerskov
