Fashion Drawing 1
So....i've got an AMAZING christmas/birthday gift from my sweet mom. A WACOM intous pen and touch! Therefore i've been practicing my photoshop- and fashion drawing skills. Seriously, it's like a whole new world for my and suddenly there are all sorts of new opportunities! Cant wait to make some more drawings and improve my skills. There is still a long way for me, but I had to start somewhere :) xoxo sjoervadDesign
Collection 1
This picture is from my first project at the 2. Semester. I had to design a skirt for the brand "Oh Seven Days" by using the Design-DNA analysis. We also had to create a pattern for the skirt and sew it on the schools machines.
Furthermore we had to make sales materials with a small AW15 collection (10-15 styles), a photoshoot with the skirt, material chart for the mini collection, color barcode, fashion drawings and so on.... It was a lot of work - but I got a very good result, so it´s clear that hard work pays of!
I've been practicing my photoshop skills - our homework was to make a collage with a ss 15 trend. Here is the result.
ART and FORM project at 2. semester
A very exciting and kind of difficult project. We went to a wonderful museum next to our school. They had an exhibition named "CLASH" - and of course it was about fashion and style. I selected a piece by Rikke Fausing as my inspiration and later created my own work; Tangled knot.
The thoughts behind Rikke Fausings piece was the consumers big consumption. I thought about this and transferred it into my piece, by making many opportunities with the look. You can knot the "strings" anyway you want - braid it, weave it - in the front, on the back. And that kind of the point with the piece - making different opportunities with your clothes, so you don't have to buy and buy and have beautiful dresses that you only uses once. Be creative and be unique.
It should also be mentioned that we were only allowed to use single jersey, double jersey and isoli - part of the project was also to explore the oppertunities when using knitted fabrics.
