@mkthedingus congratulations on winning the TMNT AU Competition 2026! You fully deserved it. And as I adore your April Fool Mikey, here is a little fan art of him. I hope you don't mind. I am really sorry that it is not any better. I drew him as a toddler for the first time in my entire life 🥲 Still I wanted to celebrate Toddler Mutant Ninja Turtles victory somehow. Anyway, once again, huge congratulations, and have a wonderful day! 😁

I am a little bit late, but in celebration of the ROTTMNT Art Book Release, I decided to open my "Vault Of Doodles", collect some of them and share. I know that these are not really good, but I had a lot of fun drawing them. Especially since many of them were part of my “Draw ROTTMNT for 30 Days” challenge, which I did for myself and which helped me to get back to drawing after a long break. Also as you can see, fun fact about me is that I draw my sketches in this shade of navy blue as it just reminds me of pen ink.

And the ROTTMNT Art Book? It is sooo good. To not ruin anyone fun, l'm adding some more thoughts under the read more as it contains a little bit of spoilers.

Ok, so I just have to say that I love that they included Farewell comic at the end and sooo many drawing tips. My favorite one so far? “Draw the shell on the turtle, not the turtle in the shell”. Why? Well it just makes so much sense and, as you may see in the speedpaint video below, until now I did just opposite (even when I just drew from references)…

Also as you could guess, by the number of Huginn and Muninn doddles, I just love those two guys, so it was really nice to see at least some storyboards for the unrealeased episode "Goyles Just Want to Have Fun". Even if I am even more sad right now that it was never released.

Alright, first things first: I am really sorry for my English. It's not my native language and I try my best, but when I write something (in any language), I change my sentences every 10 seconds and my mind even faster. I try to avoid mistakes, but those may happen (a lot), so if you find any of them, please kindly let me know. I will appreciate it and I will correct them.

Anyway important time: - Those kinds of messages (as the one, which Dee received here) sent via DM/comment are just phishing attempts, which have happened here on tumblr already for some time. - Accounts which sent them are hacked. - Tumblr support don't use discord, microsoft teams or whatsapp. Also, no valid help support would ask other users to contact someone in DM on their behalf. - As long as you do not use the links/contact details provided in the DM/photo, your account is safe.

That being written, I guess I should explain myself. I was not planning to do a phishing awareness one-shot, like ever. Those panels were planned for a completely different purpose, but in the middle of their creation I came to the conclusion that I did not like the outcome at all (and I still don't), and what was worse, that I stopped enjoying working on them. To be honest, I felt overwhelmed by the concept of correcting them and, as I draw only for fun, I abandoned this project and switched to some anatomy lessons and drawing other things. I was completely ready to bury those panels in my procreate forever, but then I received this scam DM for a second time in less than three weeks (and I do not even post so much). And it just breaks my heart that some people have something that they cherish for months or even years, some place that they feel safe enough to express themselves or their passion, and then, someone just hacks them or scams them and it is all lost. So long story short: this second phishing attempt just pushed me to go back to those sketches and just clean them up a little with changes just in dialogs. This is why some panels may feel a little off, sorry. But I still wanted to keep them in the theme of AU, which has been in my mind for sometime already, and I may or may not create it someday.

And now, can anyone please kindly explain to me why Donnie used his BOOTYYYSHAKER9000 for a password in like two episodes in which he says it to other people? And then use it as a username for an MMO game (probably more often than once, as it is something which may be hard to remember after just one conversation, and everybody somehow knows that BOOTYYYSHAKER9000 IS Donnie)? Why didn't he change it in between telling it to his brothers / the leader of hacker-teenage-criminals (whichever happened first as episodes seem to be released out of order)? Come on, this is not safe at all. He may have a whole vault for a comic with like 4 levels of verification, but still fails with the security of his own tech.

I am really, really (that’s two reallys!) sorry that it is not fully in color, but I am terrible in coloring. I tried and I did not like the outcome, so it is what it is 🥲 And I know that it is not very good, but I still wanted to participate as I love this comic. Each chapter of it is like a little bit of sunshine, and these little turtle tots helped me a lot in some of my bad days this year. So I wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH mkthedingus. And congratulations on 10K and 80K! You fully deserved it! 😁

Inspired by S01 reference, which deserved to be redrawn in much happier circumstances and with many more characters.

Leo and Donnie may not be twins biologically, but they definitely are one by their spirits/souls and you will not change my mind.

Also, I gave Raph some tattoos inspired by the storyboards, as he deserves to have some markings like the rest of the turtles.

I wanted to post something here for a while now, but as I'm still learning ROTTMNT anatomy and failing miserably, I don't really have much to show. Anyway, here is a random drawing that came to my mind at 2 AM when I tried to compare the lair shown in the Farewell comic to those from the show and movie. Long story short, it kind of does not fully match to any of them (not only in the far future, but also in this close one?), so I have a new headcanon now that the turtles needed to move again after the Krangs. And this is why this lab is so different from the known ones.

I'm still trying to understand ROTTMNT anatomy and artstyle, so here are a few sketches of Donnie, which I did for practice, trying to recreate the show moments as best as I can.

Any tips on how to draw this guy and his brothers correctly? 😅

Also fun fact: did you know that in the basketball scene, there is a small animation error where Donnie keeps missing his gloves?

Gargoyle Deliveries (now for a one and only, limited time delivering also multidimensional) are there to spread some love and appreciation for all TMNT AU Competition Team, participants and supporters.

Those two little fellas were looking for a job for a long time and are highly excited to finally deliver you some kind words and maybe even a little package (as they never had any problem with delivering something or someone before… Yeah… But hey, this time there is probably no lava monster or any other monster included. Also they had a great reassume and they share the salary). If you think they may have something for you, that is probably right, so feel free to reach them, if you want. But as this is their first day at work, I’m not sure if they will be the best in it and dedicated to it, or will they just pass their job to some other delivery service and watch the tournament instead… Disclaimer: I do not own any AU competing, I just wanted to show my support. 

So… Big thank you to the all TMNT AU Competition Team for such a great event. You’re all the best and you deserve to hear how great you all are! Your work is really, really (that’s two reallys!) important and should be highly appreciated. Remember not every hero wears a cape, some prefer ninja style and sticking to the shadows, while leaving spotlight and fun for others (but still you’re everyone’s Turtle Titans when needed!).

I’m sending support for all AUs creators who are competing in this year's tournament. You all are great and your work is amazing. Keep up the good work, you’re all awesome and do not let anyone make you think otherwise. I wish you all the best! Also congratulations for first round winners!

And finally, last but not least, thank you all TMNT AU Competition supporters, you’re all great and you deserve to hear it as well. Your all awesome support arts, comments and little stories are the one which pushed me to do this little comic myself and finally, for the first time in my entire life, publish any of my work online.  So again, big thank you!
