donât mind magnus, heâs in a mild state of SHOCKÂ at the
moment. he hadnât thought anything of it, at firstâ some
guy trying to sell him a watch. (Â it was a pretty nice watch,
he had to admit, but he never wore them. )Â out of nowhere,
the other had arrived and then they were pulling him around
the side of the building and he recognized that knife. it was
an odd design;Â a curved blade the length of his forearm made
of a silvery, luminescent metal. he hadnât seen another blade
like it.Â
he itched to grab his own daggers and start throwing, but their
blade stopped him. something about it seemed to sap at his
strength. heâd involuntarily FLINCHEDÂ when they brought it to
his neck and thenâ it wasnât there anymore. A blond head
went through the men like they were nothing, taking out one
and scaring the shit out of another before pinning the last against
a wall before Magnus could even register what was happening.
Good olâ Jason Grace to the rescue. again.
â iââ â heâs toungue-tied, something RARE for him. ( the attack
really had shaken him up. )Â Magnus glances down to see one of
the silver blades lying in the dirt. he kneels and reaches for it,
only to find that itâs painful to touch. it feels like his skin is blistering,
burning, and he drops it, gritting his teeth against the feeling.
        â i donât know, â he lies.
          `they seem tâknow YOU.`
the one currently under his hand lets out a strangled sounding noise,
and jason notes, under his own anger, that turning blue is not a good
sign. he releases the nameless goon, and only feels mildly bad for the
fact he passes out shortly after, breathing heavily, and his neck ringed
with red. yikes. heâd reacted a bit harsher than he meant to.
when jason turns to face magnus, heâs in for a shock, too.
heâs never SEEN the other look so out of itâeven that night with the
horrid drunkenness didnât match up to this. it was maybe the first time
heâd seen a boy who was always so on edge, on his guard, look soâ
well. petrified. but then he kneels over to pick the blade up, and drops
it instantaneously, like itâs electrocuted him. jasonâs brows jump to a
curious look, nervous and agitated, before he says, gently:
`take a minute to calm down, because we need to get out of here. and
we may need to bring this man with us. thereâs no good in letting him
go or leaving him here. understand? weâll get to the bottom of this. now,
isâis there something on that blade? a poison, orâ?` you dropped it
          pretty fast.
he doesnât acknowledge Jasonâs observation, still staring at
his skin where the blade touched. It looks like itâs been burned,
exactly the same way that it FEELS, but it isnât healing as it
normally would. It should have been gone by now, nothing
left to show it was there, but it wasnât. Magnus is oh so tempted
to spark his hand and ( hopefully ) speed the healing, but Jason
--- well, the son of Jupiter hasnât exactly seen him do it before,
and he doesnât feel like EXPLAINING.
deep breath in and breathe out, deep breath in and breathe out.
â alright, â he sighs, hoping his voice doesnât sound as shaky
as it is in his own head. He composes himself for a moment,
carefully reconstructing his regular face, trying to hide his mixture
of fear and panic. Magnus stands-- careful to avoid contact with
the blade-- and looks over to the men lying unconscious on the
ground.
â what should we do with them? how are we going to get them
back to camp? we donât exactly have anything with us, and, no
offense, but I really doubt you could fly us all at once. â
