Hi there! It's probably a long shot, but I'm searching for a Hollstein fanfic that I read back in 2015. It starts with Carmilla leaving Laura, and then at some point Laura becomes a vampire. The story follows Laura for years, and her career as a photographer. Carmilla and Laura aren't together for the majority of it, but they reunite at the end. Bits and pieces I remember: they meet again at an art gallery, it opens with Laura reading a note. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sorry, this did NOT show up in my mailbox notifications, and I only accidentally just saw it now while scrolling back through the main activity page. So I am so sorry it took so long to get a reply. As a matter of fact, yes, I do know that fic. I read it several months ago and, would you know it, it was even read aloud in the Sunday storytime session last week in the Silas Library Club Server.

But, grab yourself some tissue. It is elegantly bittersweet.

Pale skin, bloody milk… Vampire, vampire, vampire, yeah? Damning evidence.

Test tubes and needles Hypotheses need testing Makes the weird submit

Screams “Just be normal” But that’s hypercritical From a former witch.

Brownies and cleaning Keep her relatively sane But not completely.

“Pizza or death” chants Seem pretty extreme, but that’s On par for Silas.

Rumbling in the pit But the old fish god is stuck. Sushi, anyone?
