Hc that Darry has a bunch of meds he hasn't told anyone abt. ADHD, antidepressants, probably smth for anger issues, and it's been more than a year since any of them last got filled. So Darry gets overstimulated a lot and just has to power through it bcs what else is he supposed to do? He can't grasp smth that seems fairly simple and he just gets mad at himself for not being better, for being so dumb. Half the time he can't even mentally get out of bed. He just sits there and tries not to cry because he's being so dumb, it's just simple enough as putting his legs over the side of the bed and standing.

Dally finds the empty containers, mainly by snooping. He gets the gang together, places down the containers, and they all slowly pitch in. It takes them a good while, but they finally end up with enough to get the meds refilled, and when they come home and give them to Darry, it's not an instant fix, but they see how much it helps him.

They all make sure they pitch in when he short or if he just overall can't afford it, because after all the sacrifices he's made for them, for all of them, they feel it's their time to give back.
