he placed a needle within my heart

claimed it was of rightful doing

then with his own grief ran away

unrelated to my own

and I cried and cried

unknown to him the pain ensuing

I regained the strength

fellow needle points of friends

taught me how to do overcome it

then he reappeared solemn at best, lonely even

ready to fight for me apparently given

I somehow saw it coming

yet the pain does not subside

The needle was never fetched

instead it festers within ready to tear

my heart again open

ready for viewing
