The Horror Of My Apartment

Around 2.30 am, my mother who went to bed at 10 pm, rings the bell of our apartment.

I want us to smile again. The way we smiled in your car, heading north towards rolling hills and maw of the ocean. The way your fingers walked their way up my thigh — your hand resting upon it's rightful place. We were a Norman Rockwell painting and I miss this depiction of us in your car heading for the hills. Your face shone like the moon when you looked at me then, and I've been waiting patiently again for that glow ever since. Where are you? I know you're still in there.
