Ifra Kti Zjen IF-ra k-TI zh-EN

the gift, the practise, the vision

this wordform was inspired by a yogi friend of mine. he called yoga a gift, that with practise could become whatever you dream it to be. he used the analogy of an island, on which you could choose to build your own resort.

Ifra: The Gift as a wordform Ifra represents something that is given to you, for you to make of what you will. life is Ifra just as a blank notebook given on a birthday. time is Ifra. Ifra also represents the quality that something has when one can invent a purpose for it that is unique to the individual.

Kti: The Practise. Kti as a wordform represents the frame of mind that turns an ordinary act into a ritual. tea ceremonies came about because of Kti. a bed time routine is because of Kti. while some feel that Kti is out of reach, it only requires activation, commitment, and dedication to realise. Kti empowers us to turn the time we spend on an act into something worth more than doing once.

Zjen: The Vision. That which we see for ourselves, our world, our future. I discuss Zjen in more detail in the entey regarding Oneepahlzjen, just as I do with Ream and Maan in the Eiramaanream entry.

some could call Zjen a dream, but it is different to the surreal landscape or othermind mode that is the dreaming we call Ream. Zjen as a wordform represents our imagination, and can be utilized to manifest a reality of our choosing, if we use our Eira and Kti to infuse our Zjen with Maan.

Ifraktizjen is a powerful tool at our expense, one we can utilise to bring value to our time and stillness to any moment. all it requires is the acknowledgment of Ifra in time and mind, the dedication to Kti, the Zjen to work towards, and the diligence to exercise Ifraktizjen which we can call upon at any time.

Eiramaanream

Eira Maan Ream (EYE-rra ma-AHN REE-am)

the fire, the shaman, the dream

this wordform was born when i was reminded of a ritual i took part in. i have a naivety about this aspect of life, having been raised in a narrow-viewed community and only dabbling in the unseen without much guidance. this ritual, however, taught me much. and as Bravo said, with a comment about shamanism, we forged a dream around that fire.

Eira: The Fire. the internal and external ‘fire’ which warms our blood. Eira as a wordform represents the element of fire in sparks, heat, and burning. a cleansing power of both creation and destruction, as all elemental forces are. another interpretation of Eira is the internal spark of life we carry within. fueled by our imagination Eira drives our passion. weilded in the dark nights of the soul it banishes shadows, leading us ever onward. it is traceable to the stars which gave birth to our planet and present in the sparkling electricity of our physical being.

Maan: The Shaman. Maan as a wordform represents the will and the way of one who works with the unseen. it is the power within called forth by our will and the links in our blood to all those who walk magic paths. this word form can represent ‘shaman,’ a word borrowed from other cultures that can be reinterpreted as ‘one who wields Maan.’ it knows no limitation set by human reckoning. Maan is interpreted through endless combinations of perspectives including cultural, emotional, communal, and individual, to name a few. it is represented in what other perspectives have named chi, prana, holy spirit, essence, life-force, heart-fire.

Ream: The Dream. Ream as a wordform represents the mind beneath/behind/between/beyond. that with which we may perceive beyond the veil and illusion/delusion of physical matters. this word form also represents the paths we walk with this mind, the twisting surreal landscapes we visit most often when we sleep, but also when we perform magic.

our Ream is that with which we wield Maan, and our Eira is a force our Ream can access with Maan.

Ream is different to Zjen. where Zjen is something we imagine, Ream is something we experience. Zjen can be made manifest through action, but Ream is something unseen that can affect Zjen and it’s manifestation.

Oneepahlzjen

Onee Pahl Zjen (OHN-ee PAHL zh-EN)

the bond, the people, the vision

this wordform arose from a dear friend Ixi and her desire to create a word for ‘love’ interpreted as “the bond shared between people with a shared vision” and it was my first wordform.

Onee : The Bond. the first Newkind festival. the response to a call for social change. all who made the journey came with a similar purpose. they saw the call and said “i must be there!” and this was our bond. we all felt something similar about our human experience and desired a more positive existence. we came with Newkind in our hearts before we even knew what Newkind was.

Onee as a wordform represents that which unites us, that which we share. as humans we have Onee that runs deep, yet we often find ways to separate ourselves as the power of Onee is great and can be overwhelming. the fear that we lose ourselves to it is an untruth. to embrace the Onee is to enrich the individual experience as we have a deep connection to others/all that then highlights the unique expression of life that is any individual.

Pahl : The People. the first Novalanders. the first to answer the call. the first to arrive saying “i want to change the world for good” and open themselves to deep learning and life changing. we may be the first, but we are not the least or the last. there will be more.

Pahl as a wordform represents a group formed when multiple individual conscious entities coexist/cohabitate/cooperate. the whole earth is Pahl. the gaggle of geese on a river is Pahl. a human family is Pahl, just as the whole nation they imagine themselves within. Pahl is not limited to humans, however humans in their innocent ignorance believe Pahl to be more restrictive/exclusive than it truly is.

Zjen : The Vision. those who made Newkind a reality had a vision. those who worked with them shared that vision. those who answered the call were part of that vision and had one of their own as well. all visions mingle and from it a reality is born. Novalanders envision a future where our world is good. we see ourselves working for that good. that is the Zjen of the Novalander.

Zjen is whatever we see for the future of ourselves in our world. Zjen as a wordform represents an imagining. it is one we can infuse with intent and manifest into reality. it can take a great deal of will to manifest a Zjen, but it can be as effortless as the smile we see in our mind before we offer it to a friend.

Oneepahlzjen became a salutation and a valediction, an expression of gratitude, and an acknowledgment of the greater power that Newkind came to mean to us. Oneepahlzjen has similar heart-tones to the namaste from the hindi language. we wanted to avoid existing cultural connotations, so adamantly corrected the mishearing of Onee as ohm-ee.

Oneepahlzjen was the first wordform born from Newkind through the vessel that is Silica Rotherwood. it’s power relates to the Novalander bond, people, and vision. it has interpretations specifically to the experience of Newkind, but as with all wordforms, it’s interpretations are vast and unknowable with limited perspective. any group united by Oneepahlzjen may claim it as a power word to strengthen the bond and vision of their people. but it’s roots in the Newkind experience give it a compassionate as well as rebellious heart-tone. it’s use by the Novalanders has imbued it, for them at least, with a meaning of peace/harmony/love.

Newkind Festival

i was given the opportunity and deepest honour to work with some talented humans in march of 2017 on a festival called Newkind.

it was not a festival. it was a boot camp for social change. and i’m not talking about hippies on a soap box screaming “don’t burn coal” i’m talking about some of the most intelligent, creative, and inquisitive souls i have had the pleasure to cross paths with in this life.

from this experience i created a form of word-art that gives a new-kind of meaning to the common language used to explain things that we percieve. yes, these wordforms are derivitives of english, but i feel in them a resonance beyond human reckoning. something from the stars, something beyond human. a new-kind of language.

it is my hope that this blog will capture some of these words, and the power they hold for the people who use them.
