NEWKIND or HALFKIND.

A hybrid of human and nonhuman; either originally orthohuman, then was changed into this new hybrid being somehow, or they've always been this kind of being. Has both human and nonhuman traits, making them like both species yet ultimately being neither; they are fully nonhuman, posthuman, or ex-human now if they wish to identify as such ("newkind"), or, they identify as both species they’re a hybrid of simultaneously ("halfkind"). Perhaps they even fluctuate between these two states of self-identity.

Inspired by Danny Phantom fanon's concept of a "halfa," a ghost-and-human hybrid.

This time I hope this love is not the butterfly kind, the type of love that makes you too nervous to say the truth and too worried to do what you want. This time I hope the silence is as comfortable as breathing, and maybe, even more, I hope we won’t try to fill every minute with words. I hope we are content with the silence, the pain, and the love. This time I hope our eyes linger on each other a bit more to realize what my lips can’t say. This time I hope my tongue doesn’t feel monotonic when I say I love you. This time I hope my heart never gets to see your back walking away from me.

This year has been about utilizing social media and sharing ways to leave a positive impact on the planet. I've been able to connect with so many incredible people with the same idea and what an amazing journey it's been so far! Many of us are fortunate to be able to remove plastic from our lives, we can get fresh water very easily, our air pollution is low, and we can locate public transport or own a car almost anywhere we go. On the other hand, other parts of the world don’t have these luxuries or if they do they do not come as easily as you might imagine. It’s hard to see this and feels overwhelming trying to tackle these problems by ourselves. But what if more people could step up and make changes together? This is why my first stop in Australia next week is a MASTERCLASS WEEK FOR SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE in Marion Bay, Tasmania! 🇦🇺 🌿🌍🌿 @newkindfestival We will be listening to speakers, participating in workshops, focusing on how to love the Earth and connecting with more like-minded legends from all over the world! Newkind Festival

i was given the opportunity and deepest honour to work with some talented humans in march of 2017 on a festival called Newkind.

it was not a festival. it was a boot camp for social change. and i’m not talking about hippies on a soap box screaming “don’t burn coal” i’m talking about some of the most intelligent, creative, and inquisitive souls i have had the pleasure to cross paths with in this life.

from this experience i created a form of word-art that gives a new-kind of meaning to the common language used to explain things that we percieve. yes, these wordforms are derivitives of english, but i feel in them a resonance beyond human reckoning. something from the stars, something beyond human. a new-kind of language.

it is my hope that this blog will capture some of these words, and the power they hold for the people who use them.
