Haarken WorldClaimer, the Spear of the Black Legion. He is Abaddon’s herald, and therefore his role is to announce the Despoiler’s arrival, but how far does that go? When Abaddon has to go to the bathroom, does Haarken stand at the door and shout “THE WARMASTER COMETH, HE MUST SHIT AND PEE IN THE SAME WAY THAT HE SHITS ON THE IMPERIUM’S FAILING DEFENCES!” When Abaddon wants to have gay sex with someone, does Haarken enter the bedroom before him and shout “THE DESPOILER IS HERE, PREPARE THY ASSHOLE TO FEEL THE MIGHT OF THE BLACK CRUSADES!” Many questions, no answers.
The implication that Abaddon would bottom is madness. He is the Warmaster, for the Gods’ sake! He has been the doom of countless worlds, of entire civilizations, he is the master of the mightiest of the legions, the bane of the Imperium! To make such a baseless assumption… off to the Vengeful Spirit’s daemon-infested bowels with you!
One of my favorite tropes in warhammer is Cawl saying shit that no one knows the meaning of, because he sometimes slips and uses a 30k vocabulary in a 40k world.

When he does dies, when he gets truly desperate, the Four offer him a deal. They do not offer him a bargain, for to do so would be to imply he ever had a choice at all.
This is not death as in greviously wounded. This is death, mortal, uncontinuable, and unstoppable. It is not because he was outplayed, but because he lived too long, and fought too hard.
It is because Chaos cheated.
In his last moments of consciousness, knowing he's dying, knowing he's likely already too gone and only a collection of neurons firing frantically in a pulped skull, he knows. He knows he was cheated, played for, and lost. He knows the gods stacked the deck.
But what choice is there, really? It was the gods' fault and so just what? Making them admit they were guilty won't stop him from dying a ignominious death.
Because there is no other choice. The Long War will continue, even if he does not.

He has many many eyes like the Eye of Horus. They cannot see. They grow everywhere, on his wings, his horns.
He has feathered wings like the angel Horus killed, but like a biblical angel, he has eyes everywhere on them.
He has wings but cannot fly. The Terminator armor is too heavy to do so.
When he died, his Terminator armor incorporated parts of his Heresy armor. The gods say it's because his original armor was too damaged so they repaired it with what they could. He knows they lie. He knows the armor is melded into him, grown into him like flesh. He can’t remove it without flaying himself. He could: removing the armor will allow him to fly like any other daemon prince… but he never does so. (<< this is actually because I like his Heresy armor more but am too embarrassed to admit it)
The wings obscure his sight. The eyes on them, despite being massive, capable of motion, cannot see. The eyes everywhere on him (especially the one on his chest) can shoot lasers like Horus' Eye in his corrupted state.
The only eyes he can actually see through are his golden/Astronomican eyes.
He has two pairs of horns. They're here. Yeah.

This is the Night Lords detachment of the codex, but much scarier. Yesterday's Grotmas showing was just bland, but this one is spicy.
Warp Talons are just insane with this, but even Raptors can get powerful here. Good luck holding objectives when you have to roll a -2 battleshock test every time with those near. But the highlight here are the scouting warp-talons that can get advance&charge. The initial threat range is absolutely insane.
Here you get the following unique options:
One 11-Man squad of utterly busted turn 1 Warp Talons
[Stealth] on a squad of Terminators or Chosen which can give a boost in durability. I would put this on Terminators because they benefit more from the free stratagems from the Chaos Lord, mostly "advance and charge".
Uppy-Downy Utility which is good because CSM does not have the option for this in their datasheets.
You can field Raptors for their battleshock aura and have it be a real danger for the opponent. Leadership tests of 8+ are easy to miss.
Raptors being valid also gives us the option to bring a 10-stack for Haarken Worldclaimer.
Equally relevant is the Demon Prince with Wings here for his Battleshock ability. That melee strike profile with +1 to wound sure hurts when paired with the Impact mortals. It can also carry one of the enhancements which is interesting.
This will definetly see play - mostly since it encourages taking at least 3x5 Raptors for their ability and combined with the Jumping Lord that brings in some insane secondary scoring potential, something CSM is usually not so good on. Combine that with the potential of battleshock just completly ruining with your opponent's scoring plan, and you got yourself a strong detachment.

One Chaos Lord with Uppy/Downy: 80+ 20 = 100p
10 Raptors and Haarken Worldclaimer: 170+90 =260 (Total: 360)
It’s very interesting. I immediately built a list as soon as I saw it. being a black legion player, I based it on the gloomtalons, Haarken Worldclaimer’s warband. It’s not a meta list, i’m still bringing two heldrakes, but I really like the damage potential of some of the combos. Haarken with ten raptors, scouting lord with warp talons, it could be very very interesting. Also, the battleshocked units having -1 to hit is essential for the warp talons and the raptors to last a bit longer, they’re still T4 2W bodies after all.
About 25% through Ashes of the Imperium and I love that so far it’s just been a collection of people going “what are we supposed to do now?” And nobody has any idea. Very fitting considering that it’s the end of the Siefe of Terra.
Also I love that the primarchs are debating about what their next move should be in regards to fighting the traitors, should they secure Luna and Mars and risk the traitors slipping away, or should they hunt them down but leave their rear lines unguarded? And meanwhile Sigismund doesn’t give a shit and has already left and Dorn doesn’t even know if he could call him back. Truly the Emperor’s greatest attack Chihuahua.

a) supportive because they are so removed from humanity that they don’t even see gender as a thing, and can’t understand it. They only see it as a way to refer to people via pronouns, and if you tell them “hey I use these pronouns now” they’d just go “ok” and gender you correctly from then onwards
b) Marines Malevolent which would misgender you on purpose before shooting you in the face because fuck you.
