beatneku arc continues.

(Their dynamic is on my mind all the time and idky why. The best way i can summarize is. Neku is incredibly autistic and beat is very dumb, and while they originally had a lot of conflict because of this, as both of them grow, they understand each other better bc their ways of thinking make communicatiom way easier. Beat is very honest, blunt, and doesnt do metaphors very much, and when he understands that something needs accommodation he is quick to throw out societal conventions bc to him theyre useless if they arent making his friends happy, and in turn, Neku doesnt value intelligence as something that makes a person worthy of respect especially the mosre he grows over the course of the game, and he empathizes with Beat's emotions instead of insulting him for how he goes about communicating them, actually hearing out a guy whos often seen as unreasonable, violent, or inarticulate. Their differences in perception accommodate each other perfectly and it's really nice to see how often they're paired together later in the game because they keep each other sane.)

its crazy how using your chosen name & pronouns feels so Not Allowed when youre used to having to use your legal name for everything. like all i do is go to work and go to doctors so writing an artist bio using my correct information is like, Is This Allowed??
