Hi, I'm Caoimhín. I'm an illustrator who draws far too much and a grade A windbag. Dms and askbox are always open to chat about my ideas, although I do not do requests or role play.

My page contains depictions of rape, child grooming, self harm, nudity, and depictions of mental health issues, and all will be accordingly tagged, but please be warned. My fan works and original works tend towards Gothic and psychological horror, so if that isn't your particular brand of scary, my art might not be for you.

The injury is depicted in one of the ffxv brotherhood episodes (on YouTube if you want to watch), he gets Very Stabbed In The Back and taken to the oracle, so easy to say spinal. We know it was bad enough he needed magical healing to get it to "relearning how to walk with the aid of a wheelchair" level. Hes also shown struggling to read in the aftermath so I imagine the incident caused that too.

Btw I'm really loving the art!!! I feel like so many people ignore the disabled part of noctis, it's refreshing to see :)

Oh yeah I saw the part where he struggled to read in one of the cutscenes! It would be fun if he does have some sort of brain damage from it to, especially things like his awkward stilted speech (maybe the inside thoughts to outside feedback is a little more difficult for him) and again more metaphorically his migraines are also debilitating similar to an injury of that nature.

I need to tell you noctis has a canon childhood severe injury (to his lower back) and is 1. Magically disabled (cannot cast spells properly), 2. You've noticed the gait, 3. When he's older he has a leg brace, and 4. As a kid had a wheelchair for a while. Hits him with the disability beam !!!

Yes yes!! I didn't know it was specifically to his lower back, did they specify if it was a spinal injury or not? Because if so I'd like to draw him more accurate to that specific injury as some of my friends have that issue. I also feel like on a more metatextual level the way Noctis is treated is very reminiscent to me of the way children with lifelong/terminal health issues are. Noctis is going to die before his time, so he's given a level of aid a regular child would never need, and now as an adult who's able enough to function but still ill l, he finds his responsibilities difficult to deal with because he simply doesn't have the skills. I've been pretty sick lately myself and have been in and out of the hospital, so I've been drawing him to cope.

Thinking about Terra and Ven.... I think Terra's love for Ven directly plays into Terra growing as a person and outgrowing his rigid ideas about duty and what he values, because Ventus is not technically very physically strong but he's resilient and intelligent and stubborn and mentally flexible, all while being "weak" in terms of his powers in comparison to Terra and aqua. Terra has been raised to value loyalty to authority and place a lot of his self worth in being self sustaining and disciplined, yet Terra sees Ven as a trusted protector and someone worthy of respect a lot of the time Terra speaks about him as if Ven is really the one tasking care of him. Terra views Ven as a savior and a place of safety despite Ven being weak in the eyes of keyblade weilders, and his admiration of him and how much he values Ventus is directly responsible for his growth. Terra loves Ven so much it's literally embedded into his body, Xemnas still loving Ventus and watching Roxas sleep despite never actually meeting him.

I need the term "love of (their) life" to expand beyond romantic stuff bc Ven is definitely the love of Terra's life

Wip_// i think Gladio and Noctis's relationship is incredibly sweet. Gladiolus pushes Noctis verbally but he is instictually protective of him. He thinks highly of him and knows he's capable and smart but he's also very aware of when Noctis is truly in danger.... guy who calls his lordship spoiled rotten while lying facedown in a puddle so he doesnt have to get his feet wet
