This could be my daughter’s last night… and I fear it may be the hardest.
I sit beside her, watching the change in her features from exhaustion, each breath labored, her strength slowly fading. She is no longer the playful child who once filled our home with laughter… now she can barely open her eyes.
Today, she whispered to me softly: “I’m so tired…”
I wish I could take all her pain away and give her just one moment of relief, but I am powerless, left only with prayers and tears.
Her condition is worsening—not because hope is gone, but because we cannot afford the urgent treatment and food she needs. Time is slipping by, and with every hour, she weakens further.
Her siblings live in constant fear… they watch her and don’t understand why their sister can no longer play with them, why her pain never leaves. Their little hearts cannot bear it, and neither can mine.

I wrote a master’s thesis on intentionally single people, and the number of them that said in various ways, “I didn’t know not dating people was even an option at first” was absolutely tragic. They honestly thought they had no choice and it never occurred to them that opting out was even a possibility available to them.
People honestly believe these are life experience you are required to have AND THEY ARE NOT.
You can just not have sex. You can just not date people. You can completely by-pass one or both of those things. Neither of those things are required to be healthy, happy, normal, mature, fulfilled, or any of the other bullshit notions that get attached to these things.

I wish I didn’t have to post this again… but the rain returned, and it destroyed what was left of our shelter.
The reality right now:
Our tent is flooding.
The ground is soaked and our bedding is wet.
The shelter is no longer safe or livable for my children.
