Hii! I LOVE your avatar headcannons and afop headcannons. Do you think you could make head cannons based on this for avatar frontiers of pandora if you want to ofc
So basically its headcannons on how the characters would feel when they are upset at the reader(gn) for messing up a mission, but the reader feels really bad and sad about it because they are upset at them
When their S/O is guilt ridden
âą The mission had been carefully planned. Every route, every signal, every contingency.
âą Then, in a split second, you acted on instinct to help someone, revealing your groupâs position.
âą The RDA was alerted. Everyone escaped, but the objective was lost.
âą The entire walk back to camp, Soâlek barely says a word.
âą Once youâre alone, his voice is calm, but noticeably colder than usual.
- âYou let your emotions decide for you.â
âą Hearing disappointment from him hurts far more than if heâd yelled.
âą You try to explain, but the words get caught in your throat.
âą He simply nods, still frustrated, and walks away to clear his head.
âą You spend the rest of the evening sitting alone, replaying every second of the mission.
âą By the time Soâlek finds you again, youâre staring blankly into the fire.
âą Before he can speak, you whisper, âI know I failed you.â
âą That sentence immediately softens him before he kneels beside you.
- âYou failed the mission. You did not fail me.â
âą He admits he was angry because the mistake endangered everyone, including you.
âą Instead of dwelling on it, he begins quietly discussing what could be done differently next time.
âą For Soâlek, mistakes are lessons, not reasons to abandon someone he loves.
âą She VERY rarely loses her temper.
âą Which is exactly why youâre stunned when she does.
- âWhy didnât you wait?â
âą Her voice isnât loud, but itâs sharp enough to make you flinch.
âą You honestly thought you were helping. Instead, the mission fell apart.
âą The guilt starts settling in immediately.
âą You avoid looking at her for the rest of the walk back to the base.
âą Later, she notices youâve barely touched your dinner.
âą When she asks if youâre alright.
- ââŠI ruined everything.â
- âAnd I made you angry.â
âą The second she hears that, her frustration melts away.
âą She sits beside you without hesitation. âI was upset because I was frightened.â
âą She gently takes your hands. âI never wanted you to believe my anger meant I thought less of you.â
âą She reminds you that everyone makes mistakes. The mission can be attempted again.
âą And that losing you would have hurt far more.
âą Teylan isnât used to being angry with you. (Usually itâs the other way around.)
âą Which makes it even worse when he finally snaps.
- âWhat were you thinking?!â
âą The words leave his mouth before he can stop them.
âą The silence afterward is unbearable.
âą You immediately apologize. Again. And again.
âą But every apology makes you feel worse instead of better.
âą You end up quietly disappearing from camp because youâre convinced youâve disappointed him.
âą Teylan later panics when he goes looking for you and realizes youâre gone.
âą He finds you sitting high in a tree by yourself.
âą Your eyes are red from crying.
- ââŠYou deserve someone who doesnât ruin everything.â
âą His heart absolutely shatters.
âą He apologizes before you even can. âNo. No, donât think that.â
âą He hugs you so tightly you almost canât breathe.
âą He admits he was scared during the mission and lashed out.
âą By the end, both of you are apologizing to each other. (Hopeless)
âą Norâs anger is quiet. Almost unsettlingly quiet.
âą After the mission, he simply says,
- ââŠWeâll talk later.â (Oh shii)
âą Somehow thatâs worse than yelling.
âą You spend hours imagining every terrible thing he could say.
âą By the time he comes to find youâŠ
âą Youâve already convinced yourself heâs disappointed in you.
- âIâm sorryâŠI know I made everything worse.â
âą He watches you carefully. Then sighs.
- âYouâve already punished yourself far more than I ever could.â
âą He explains exactly what went wrong, not to shame you, but so it wonât happen again.
âą Then he unexpectedly places a hand on your shoulder. âI am angry.â
- ââŠBut I still trust you.â
âą Hearing those words nearly makes you cry.
âą Trust wasnât lost, it simply needed rebuilding through experience.
âą Tamtey wears their emotions very openly.
âą When the mission fails, everyone immediately knows that they are upset.
- âDo you know how dangerous that was?â
âą Tamtey doesnât mean to sound harsh. But they definitely do sound like it.
âą You quietly whisper, ââŠYes.â
âą After that, you barely speak for the rest of the day.
âą Normally youâre always beside them. Now youâre nowhere to be found.
âą Their irritation quickly turns into worry.
âą When they finally find youâŠ
âą Youâre practicing the same failed maneuver over and over by yourself.
âą Trying desperately not to make the same mistake again.
- ââŠIâm trying to fix it.â
âą Their expression immediately softens before they walk over and gently stops you.
- âYou donât have to punish yourself.â
âą Tamtey admits they were frustrated.
âą But seeing how guilty you already felt made them regret the way they had spoken to you.
âą The two of you spend the evening training together instead.
âą Yikes what did you do to get him angry
âą Eetu almost never raises his voice. Until the mission goes sideways.
- âThat wasnât the plan.â
âą His disappointment is so painfully obvious that even you canât even meet his eyes.
âą You spend the rest of the day helping everyone clean equipment without saying a word.
âą He notices how you, laugh less, smile less, hell even your ears droop whenever he walks by.
âą Eventually he sits beside you. ââŠYouâve apologized seven times today.â
- ââŠI counted.â He said softly.
âą You admit youâre terrified heâll stop trusting you.
âą He immediately shakes his head.
- âTrust isnât broken by one mistake.â
âąHe gently bumps your shoulder. âIt grows stronger when we learn from them together.â
âą His calm reassurance finally lets you breathe again.
âą Etuwa is deeply disappointed after the mission.
âą Not because the objective failed but because so many lives were nearly put in danger.
âą She tells you firmly that your decision was reckless.
âą Every word feels heavier than the last.
âą You just quietly accept every bit of criticism. You donât argue once.
âą That alone tells her how guilty you already feel.
âą Later, she finds you making offerings to Eywa by yourself.
âą Youâre quietly asking for forgiveness.
- ââŠI brought shame to everyone.â
âą Etuwaâs heart aches hearing that.
âą She then goes over and kneels beside you.
- âNo. You just made a mistake. Those are not the same thing.â
âą She explains that true growth comes from accepting responsibility without allowing guilt to define who you are.
âą Together, you finish the offering.
âą Then she gently rests her forehead against yours.
- âWalk forward with me. Do not remain standing in yesterday.â
