Village reclaimed by nature
Photographer Jane Qing has taken photos of a lost village on the beautiful archipelago. Shengsi, an archipelago of almost 400 islands at the mouth of China’s Yangtze river, holds a secret shrouded in time – an abandoned fishing village being reclaimed by nature.

Bullies couldn’t stop this 8-year-old from growing out his hair for charity
When Florida 8-year-old Christian McPhilamy became interested in cancer research after watching a commercial for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, he decided to do what he could to help those in need. In the absence of a fat checkbook, McPhilamy did the next best thing: He literally gave the hair off his head to those struggling with cancer and other conditions like alopecia. But the story wasn’t as easy as that.
Londoners Mike and Ben work as a creative team at Saatchi & Saatchi London, but they aren’t always working at work. Sometimes they’re turning coworkers into hysterical animal/human hybrids thanks to an awesome combination of desktop wallpaper photos and strategic camera positioning. They call it the Desk Safari and it’s one of the funniest forms of procrastination we’ve ever seen.
Mike told Mashable:
“I was just taking pictures of my colleague while he tried to get on with some work. Entertaining yourself is important. My favorite picture that I created was the meerkat because he still doesn’t have a clue.”
Once the Desk Safari website was launched, the photos took The Internets by storm and Mike and Ben began receiving submissions from other offices around the world.
Head over to desksafari right here on Tumblr for many more snapshots of hybrid office worker hijinks.
